  • This take is actually pretty close to the original reading. In the ancient near east it was a given that there were many deities. It's not that the worldview of the Bible is a strict monotheism but taht YHWH is the supreme God and the source of all.

  • It seems in general that attention isn't even On climate change like it was before covid. The news platforms are filled with populist governments wars and genocides. Eve. Though climate change is the greatest existential threat it's ability ro grab attention has faded

    Good collection. I like just kinda getting a grasp on what the biase is and holding it loosely.

    I like cbc its public etc. Pretty balanced. Yet we also know it is neo-liberal and likely to indulge a bit far on some gender politics etc. I agree, having several outlets is important.

  • For myself alcohol was a lesser and secondary addiction. Addiction is a pattern of a familiars means to regulate your nervous system (mind set).

    You have a part of yourself that hold some kind of pain or anxiety. Alcohol certainly helps calm that part.

    How to kick it? You can regulate with other skills. You can address the underlying pain.

    I found sitting in on AA meetings was amazing. Honestly. Go to a meeting g and you'll meet awesome people who are truly honest about their shortcomings.

  • Thank for the encouragement. It does take some kind of sublime faith to push on. Send little bits of money, talking to folks I know attending the more and more sparse protests and arguing with zionists online. I soldier on.

  • When I was a child and heard about things like the holocaust, the genocide in Rawanda I would think that if I was an adult at those times I would do something to help those suffering. Now, as an adult I see suffering again that wrenches my soul in a dystopia engineered by the once "good" nations.

    There is nothing I can do, amd it hurts.
