I was actually people shaming for not seeing the obvious. the photo has been changed to something not fake so can't comment on the hand thing anymore

can't speak for you, but I follow nothing. I find zero enjoyment in talking about weird videos of people doing dumb things. my mental health is better then those that do, and I can have actual conversations about real things instead of needing to resort to whatever junk is trending.

I play every game I buy, might not finish them but they all have playtime in excess of 2 hours. I also don't own anything from AAAAAAA developers as I make a VERY conscious decision to specifically never give them money. Indy devs or small studios only.

I refuse to even pirate their trashy games.

maybe he doesn't actually know which is why he 'cant say'..give him some space, be there for him if he needs it and let him know you care. Don't let him do something out of depression, that he might very well regret when he's back on his feet.
