the ownership class utilized him to concentrate power, they use him as a distraction, and now they can use him at a scapegoat. they want to pretend to "switch teams" and get on our good side, so we forget how much they were the ones who hurt us.

I don't believe anything from these people nor do I necessarily disbelieve. Bannon flat out on video stated their tactic was to flood the media as "they can only focus on one thing at a time ". The stated strategy was to distract the public with BS while they accomplished unpopular things. Bannon himself was an advisor to Trump early during his first term. They too had a public falling out, then by the 2020 election acted as if it never happened.

Trump's usually move is to trigger the Left by saying something that divides us from the majority of folks (as some trans Californian track athlete just won something, perfect time too) whereas having a fight with someone hia base respects that escalates to something his base cares about (rooting out Dem pedophile cabal, regardless of whether one exists) and implicating him... That seems a stunningly bad move and for all his faults, trump is good at the politics of a brawl.
