Poster of the Japanese Communist Party (日本共産党).

I know they have issues with their ideologies but the poster looks cool!

The text reads,

希望をあなたと共に; 日本共産党; Change裹金政治

Which roughly translates to,

‘Hope together with you; Nihon Kyōsantō; Change the gold-wrapped politics’.

(The last line is likely a reference to the financial scandals of the current ruling Liberal Democratic Party)

Sir, they've lost the Redditors
  • Hmm, so there is still a flickering ray of hope left.

This was probably one of the handful of times I went back to reddit in 2 years, hoping that the blatant genocide would have some sane noises rising up. I was stupid to think so.

  • Sir, they've lost the Redditors
  • Just reading the pinned post on r/worldnews makes me recoil with the unending racism, genocide denial and the cheering of the killings. I wonder if most of the Westoids are just so far gone or purely evil.

Regarding issues plaguing the website over the past few days
  • Yep, it’s been pretty unstable for the past few days and I appreciate you taking the time to fix it.

Do/should we have a status page so that users know that something is wrong and the maintainers are aware of it?

  • Resources for a leftist take on the China-Myanmar relationship

I am looking for any article/post that explains the involvement of China in Myanmar from a leftist perspective. From what I know from a Myanmar acquaintance, there is an overall negative sentiment towards China because they support the junta, giving China control over trade & industries.

(Let me know if this post belongs in a different community)

  • I gotta be honest, i don’t understand that reference 草, my Japanese skills are still elementary. “ご苦労サンバ” lead me to a song, but probably I need some cultural context to get it.
