Reduce chances of bad electrical things happening. 1 electrical fires, 2 damage due to surges, I unplug some stuff during thunderstorms too.
Although flipping breakers could be faster, that requires wanting to unplug everything on the circuit, and having a well labeled breaker panel.

Things like turning the water off, or unplugging things... At minimum I shut the water valve and unplug pretty much anything I can. I'll usually set the thermostats to be a little more extreme than usual. Do you do anything?

Pavement is one of the more interesting words for British vs American English. British pavement == American sidewalk. In American English, I don't see pavement in common use, but its more of the general material that a road is made out of, or maybe hard surface, when not specifying a specific. "They just put some new pavement down". Anyway, I just think its one of the more interesting (and potentially confusing) British to American translations.

No judgment, are there other childish pronunciations that bother you too, or is just spaghetti? There is a company called pinnacle that uses a little girl intentionally mispronouncing the company name in their ads.
Both are the standard American English pronunciations. For solder, the o is more of an ah sound so sahder.
What pointless little things annoy you?
I just got invited to a meeting for a time zone that doesn't exist this time of year. In the US EST does not stand for Eastern time, it stands for Eastern Standard Time (\November-\March), EST is not an active time zone, it is EDT Eastern Daylight Time. Its a pointless thing, most people probably don't notice, but its wrong.
Fake internet points to anyone who knows why DB-9 bothers me.

Bacon is overrated
I don't care for bacon, it doesn't have much flavor and is often just used for salt, or fat. I leave it out of almost all recipes that call for it and haven't missed it yet.
I don't like my job
Not just my job, but the entire industry I'm in. I get paid really well, and I like some of the fine details, but overall I don't like it. My skill-set isn't very transferable either.

In the past few days, I flew on 3 very different planes.
Flew to and from a little GA airport to see the eclipse in a Cessna 182. Flew commercial from a little airport to a big airport on a Cessna Caravan, and then flew between major airports on A319. The flight on the Caravan was probably the most pleasant commercial flight I've been on.
