Big " yet you participate in society." energy with this
We need a new video platform to come up as a competitor for youtube, because right now youtube has a monopoly on video content. There was once a site called vid.me which was awesome, unfortunately the creator didn't have enough funds to fund it long term. If I knew anything about how to host a website, I would but I don't know shit about it.
I never liked him for something really petty. Years ago when I actually used to watch masterchef, some contestant did a dessert that was chocolate and ginger and Gregg said that was an unusual combination despite not being unusual at all and is a common flavour in stores. Maybe that was my spidey sense tingling about him.
3 more decades is too long of a wait. I hate these targets that are like "In decades we will reach the target we should have reached a decade ago."
So telling lies about people is a ok, but mentioning a green plumber is not. I'm fucking grateful that I'm banned from that cesshole of a website now.
"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill"
I would argue that the verse where he said I am here to fulfill the old testament is more proving that christians should follow the old testament. There is not much in bible canon to suggest the old testament was vetod by Jesus, I would say there's more than enough evidence in bible canon that old testament rules still apply to all christians.
Social media is fine if handled well. Like there were no problems with myspace or early facebook. The problem with social media is when it becomes more based on algorithm than communication. Mass communication isn't the problem, it's the algorithm
This might just be my local area, but there are many teens that are doing a car wash business for money. They advertise on social media, car comes round to their house, person pays teens money. They're going pretty well as based on comments they have many repeat customers.
I haven't seen this one mentioned yet, Daybreak.
Teen drama series about teens trying to survive in a zomble apocaylse, it was well written but what really makes me want a season 2 is the cliffhanger that shifts the entire show on it's head.
Throughout the series, Josh (the main character) is trying to get a girl called Sam, in the finale Sam rejects her because she notices he wasn't really in love with her. Josh was just trying to play a hero getting a damsel in distress, it was a amazing breakdown of toxic masculinity that makes so much sense if you rewatch the series with the twist in mind. Sam then becomes the leader, the position that Josh has been working for the whole series and that's the cliffhanger. I remeber people getting mad because those were the exact types of people Josh was. A season 2 could have gone even deeper into the toxic masculinity angle and that would have been awesome.
Another problem is the game director overhyping and saying "any character is possibile" and he wasn't limiting it to warner bros's IPs but if you're going to do that, then they honestly should have made the game launch with at least one 3rd party character.
So I would have already loved my mom in another life? seems fine by me. It wouldn't mess with my emotions or duties at all. I don't think it would slow us down at all but it would actually speed our progress up. People would be much more understanding to each other knowing what they've been through and it would create a much stronger community of people. I honestly think people remembering all previous lives would make life so much better.
I actually think life would be much better this way. I think people would be much more empathetic to people’s struggles knowing how it felt in a previous life. And if space is infinite there could be infinite civilizations for people to reincarnate on and every civilization would be different so imagine people comparing what civs they’ve been in. “Oh you were on lyza, I’ve been wanting to go there.” It would just be fun to experience these things.
But if enough people remeber lives like that, the whole of torture will stop because of knowing previous lives.
But in the 80s you might get reincarnated into a family that teaches you how to read while having the memories of the life you can't leading you to be more empahetic.
This point doesnt really make sense when you consider that there are TV channels that don't have ads like any of the BBC channels, PBS and even Disney Channel. They are channels that only promote their own other shows but for the most part don't have ads in between the shows.

I'm right behind you now. What you never said it had to be online
The earth would be in much better shape if my ancestors decided not to have any children
