Developers decide what platforms they want to support based on what resources they have available and the kinds of users they wish to target. They create versions of software where they expect to garner enough market share or based on what gives them the most return on investment. Even at a 4% market share, Linux is still pretty much an edge case for many companies, though I agree that a corporation like Samsung can absolutely afford to make their software available on Linux

That's something I'd like to find too. I've been using Textra Pro for years, but I have yet to find a FOSS alternative that rivals it

Not OP, but two issues I've encountered:

• No DRM means some streaming sites don't work. But I can easily hop over to another browser for that
• There is no global zoom to increase webpage size on all websites. This can be resolved by installing an extension

Otherwise, Zen has been amazing. I fully switched from Firefox 5 months ago, no regrets

Try FitoTrack. I've been using it for awhile, measurements are very close to what Strava records. It does lack the social element though

I'm not against a consolidated name that fully encapsulates the ActivityPubiverse, and still think that is important to driving people in. Fediverse is probably sufficient enough for the time being. But user activity begins when users can interact with it, so perhaps introducing instances as 'lemdro.id, a Lemmy platform' or something of that ilk could achieve that. That way, it's not seen as a competing standard, just an implementation of one. Then, as users become more familiar with the ecosystem, the hierarchy and segments could be learnt over time if they choose to do so.

An unpopular opinion I actually agree with! Part of the issue in my opinion is that houses are no longer made in ways that are designed for their environments. In the past, houses in warm areas would use large balconies or awnings to shelter the windows from the sun, which is where the greatest share of heat would come from. Also, high ceilings and transom windows would allow hot air to dissipate. Courtyards would serve a similar function. All of these provided natural ways for homes to cool without having to use ACs.

Now that ACs are prevalent, house design has deteriorated to what's cheapest to build, without regard to climate. This leads to higher AC usage to cool energy inefficient homes, all while pumping heat into the atmosphere that makes the temperature worse.

I believe ACs should only be used as a last resort. We should design our homes based on where they are, so that ACs are unnecessary except during the worst of heat waves. There are plenty of other ways to stay cool that don't involve ACs, so let's exhaust those before we turn down the thermostats.

I'm using it currently on a Pixel 7 Pro on GrapheneOS on Android 15 with no issues if that helps

Perhaps right click on the sidebar -> disable compact mode? I haven't had any issues moving tabs between windows, but then again I keep the sidebar persistent

Perhaps Ladybird once it's released?

I also recommend Magic Earth, I find the navigation to be more reliable than OSMAnd+

If you're looking for a reasonable FOSS swipe keyboard, try AnySoftKeyboard. While still a step below the non FOSS keyboards I've used before like Swiftkey, it gets the job done reasonably well
