I use an user agent switcher in those cases. Most of the time it works and I dont have to change the browser.

No I think that's correct. Comparing it to Discord is a bit of a stretch. Just the UI is similar to Dirscord with the rooms and Spaces. Function wise it's an alternative to Telegram or Whatsapp. Most of the most used functions (at least for me) are not present in any Matrix client.
Because all those CEOs will never think further than the next ten minutes. In short term that means only less money for them since for any extra unit of money they give to their worker it is not garantied they buy something from the own company. They only ever see what money they don't get right now, and not what they could get potentially in long term.
So we need to make the machines complicated enough so we rise above the intelligence needet to not passivly accept our situation?
That's unrealistic. You can't burn a rainbows and also beer is not flamable.
Here's a little snippet from the documentation of lemmy.ml and lemmy.world. I understand it as meaning that the downvote is actually there to express a negative opinion about something you don't like.
Lemmy uses a voting system to sort post listings. On the left side of each post there are up and down arrows, which let you upvote or downvote it. You can upvote posts that you like so that more users will see them. Or downvote posts so that they are less likely to be seen. Each post receives a score which is the number of upvotes minus number of downvotes.
Nice try mr. employer association account
Don't forget about the Chinese. They tried too and they were much more efficient.
There is a law for that? never seen that. where can you see this information on amazon for example?
In my opinion the best of this kind. you can browse amazon as usual and there is an extra window in if you scroll a little that shows the price history. No need to copie the link to another page to check the history.
Possible. I'd rather call it sceptical.
Sounds even more 1984 to me than Twitter or Meta as hoster.
The heck are blue bubbles? Is this post about some fancy soap?
I wonder what face would ticks pull in this case where we already know there is no drawback for 100% annihilating them.

Lemmy is instanced. if the host "dies" everthing else dies with it. even the accounts and everything. as far as i understand it. maybe there will be a few cached posts from that instance but im not sure about that.
IF your post doesn't get deletet for being obviously wrong. You need a little bit of knowlege in the field your asking in for this method in my experience.
I never get why people are so protective about their Emailaddress. Just have a spammail account for such instances. If it isn't a important website or service like banking or whatever -> Spammail account. only login for verification and then let the spamming do its thing in there until you need it again. If it gets hacked you lose only unimportant stuff if any.
it was the first instance i found when searching. i think it was a reddit post. so maybe world was more promoted on bigger reddit subs?
