  • id doubt it will be nearly as bad unless they try to screw it up on purpose

it was already a far better experience even before the steamdeck released.

the only thing that im currently missing is support for mods (i.e. nexus mod launcher) and id doubt the target audience of a "steam console" would be bothered that

  • afaik btrfs is can do all the things you listed.

im using open suse with btrfs and can only recommend it.

the setup was easy ( asside from non btrfs related issues with the finicky installation media)
and open suse automaticly sets up subvolumes and snapshots before and after each update
    to take advantage of btrfs

  • not quite sure which one takes the top spot,
but its either openttd, factorio, btd6 or dota2

  • I wont bother with all the statistics this time, but >we moved form 0.34 lines of code per one buyer, >to 0.24 lines of code per one buyer, so we are >getting more efficient I guess :)

copies sold per line of code is probably the most "factorio" way to think about sales figures

  • i know some modern controllers with 6 buttons,
    like the "hori fighting commander"
but those are pretty specialized, since they leave out the right stick,
and they usually just move R1 and r2 to the front

  • standalone? as in something like the occulus quest?

    that would be awesome,
even if that means that the steam controler remains dead.

  • fuck yeah i loved the first one.

im intrested to see what they change,
i predict that the controls will look less like the original and more like the steamdeck controls

  • kinda makes me wish that !RemindMe bot was a thing here.

  • darksouls2 might have been the weakest entry in the souls series, but its ng+ / ascendic mechanics are awesome.

i heard sekiro ng+ is also awesome because the powerup comes less from gear and mostly from how much you improved since beating the game.
so you breeze trough most of the game entirely on your skill.

  • i only took a glance at the chunkbase so far, but kerb seems to be a 9 out of 10

a frozen ocean with lots of taigas and snowy plains and mushroom islands so close to spawn.
i only dont like the ice spikes

  • for games that are single player , or games that i dont intend to play online, verry much yes.

with multi player games i struggle a bit more but i try.

  • 😂 World of darkness titles tend to have godawfull names.

all their titles start with the name of the tabletop game its based on,
in this case its: "Vampire: The Masquerade"
the actual tille of the game starts at "Bloodlines".

thanks to that naming scheme all their titles are fucked before they even start

  • Permanently Deleted

  • they really went from firewalk to firesale

  • Permanently Deleted

  • oh damn, not even a rework
this really crashed and burned in record time

i kinda expected a free to play rework with overpriced skins and a pointless battlepass before they shut down for good.

  • i like to use "skill issue" from time to time

  • there has been a vr version that is aparently no longer supported

  • how unfortunate, i kinda expected something like the nintendo DS aoe games.

turn based strategy games simmilar to advance wars or fire emblem.

might have been a genuinely fun game instead of an halfassed rts on a touchscreen

  • but that gap has less potential revenue than a sucessfull live service gacha horse armor battlepass.

so we need to take another shot at the monetisation jackpot,
surely this time we will make it big.

    did you know:
99% of devs quit before they make a sucessfull live service

massive issues with installing open SUSE

I was interested in trying out openSUSe and tried to install it on my third drive:

on my first and second attempt the install failed with an error that the creation of the efi Boot partition failed
    something along the lines of:

execution of command /usr/sbin/shim-install failed no space left on device
(i tried both manual and automatic partitioning)

i then tried to install fedora on that disk, just to see if something is wrong with the disk (or my skill) and it worked without a hinch.

after that i tried it again with tumbleweed and it seemed to install just fine.
but when i tried to boot it didn't work,
it just showed a black screen with a blinking - for about a minute before rebooting.

    i gave up after that.

is there something that i might have missed during my install,
i thought that openSUSE has a great reputation.

system is a ryzen 7 with an rtx 2060,
on an ASRock mainboard with secure bo

Hello! Welcome to Fearghall's Factorio Friday Facts! (FFFF, if you will.) looking for a way to block a specific program from using ipv6

i am having trouble with ipv6 in a specific program. (sf6 steam version)
completely disabling it has resolved my issues.

but this solution just doesn't sit well with me.

is there a way to only block that one problematic program from using ipv6?

    Crossplay Issues with Streetfighter6

I recently started playing sf6 in online mode.
Playing against other pc users seems to work just fine,
however Crossplay matches fail with the error code 50200-21018 (as far as i understand the first digits designate the http status code 502)

I talked to a steamdeck user for which crossplay worked just fine I play on silverblue using the flatpack version of steam.

At first is Suspected problems with the proton version,
and tried several diffrent versions (including GE) However this did not help.

Updating my ostree and flatpacks did also not help.

does anyone have suggestions on what might be causing these issues, or how to debug it further?

EDIT: same error occured when i tried using the steam version from the os
