- The GoP needed a cultural political weapon. So they picked the weakest minority, gays and trans people. To use as a distractions, while they rob the public and destroy the country.
  
  Someone's comment that I read elsewhere pointed out to me that this is a similar tactic that was used back in the day with white only bathrooms and non-white bathrooms.

Because they are dumber than shit, they don't think with language, they react to feelings and let their autopilot fill in the blanks and appear functional in society.

Floor to ceiling stalls that I don't have to dance around in to open and close the doors. Large open spaces to move between stalls and the sinks.
Sure, the open stall count and lights aren't reliable and the workmanship on the sinks and soap dispensers is pretty crummy, but the layout and convenience are fantastic!

  I fly through KC often and the gender neutral bathrooms are right past security, so I go in there nearly every time to at least wash my hands. There used to be a tiny jolt of surprise when I saw a man in there just because I’ve been so conditioned against seeing that for over 30 years, but that’s gone away because why tf do I care who sees me wash my hands?!
- I hadn't considered how much space you can save, how much better you can plan for traffic, by not having 2 separate areas.
  
  Not to mention balancing the demand, more toilets instead of urinals, and more privacy.

there is an all gender bathroom at a business near me that has a picture of a male, female, and disabled person in a wheelchar on it.
i giggle every time i pass by it because i am handicapped gender.

Can we just get a bathroom design where they are a wall of stalls with a urinal and toilet inside and the hand washing station is on the outside without a door blocking the path? I hate bathroom doors after washing hands, especially when they don't have a way to open the doors without touching the handle. Just put the sinks outside the bathroom.

  Home bathrooms are single-occupancy, plus most people don't have the room. They're definitely beneficial for higher volume places as add much more capacity for less space, and act as an "express lane" of sorts.
  
  That's a bad argument. How many people have hundreds, maybe thousands of people using their toilet every hour? Urinals are made for high traffic areas, where large numbers of men need to pee, and they also save water by not needing to be flushed every time.
  
  There are people with urinals in their home though, although they are rare.

Family bathrooms are also great. Once flew with my intellectually disabled sister who fucking fingerpainted a rest stop stall on a previous trip when my mother broke her arm chasing her to the bathroom and she was left to her own devices. This time I brought gloves and wet wipes and there was a little suite kinda thing. I didn't need the child size toilet or the breastfeeding couch but the nice big accessible area around the adult toilet was good to have. She wasn't constipated that time so I didn't have to stop her from digging it out manually again but man; if I'd had to I totally could've! 10/10 would use a family bathroom again.

- How do you define "communal"? In Europe it's common to have fully enclosed "stalls" (basically rooms in themselves) - either with their own sinks or the sinks are indeed outside and shared by all.
  
  In NA the stalls tend to be open above and below, never mind urinals which are just out in the open maybe with small "blinders" in between if you're lucky. Personally, I don't care, but I could see people being more shy in that situation.
  In bars/clubs I imagine there'd be an issue of more people taking up stalls to hook up since you wouldn't need to be sneaky about entering/leaving the washroom any more, but maybe that's just trashy behavior that can't be helped anyways.
  
  I looked up pictures of this airport's bathrooms and it's a standard shared sink counter situation. The toilets are, of course, private.

The parking lot is peak gender neutral restroom though. Less accommodating to women but I know a lot who still manage.

- The implication is that the complainant is in an airport, and airports use PA announcements for things - in this case, trying to get some logic to the complainant so they understand that the airplane bathrooms are also 'all gender' and their complaint isn't logical
