The White House has begun the process of looking for a new leader at the Pentagon to replace Pete Hegseth, according to a U.S. official who was not authorized to speak publicly. This comes as Hegseth is again mired in controversy over sharing military operational details in a group chat.
The defense secretary is under fire after revelations that he shared classified information in a group chat with his wife, brother and lawyer, according to the official.

Nah, its fine. Remember? He learned his lesson the first time! There was no reason to refuse him office when he was initially appointed! And definitely should not have been alarmed the first time his Signal chats leaked! Nobody would have thought that he would leak it a second time a month or two after the first leak!

The appointment isn't valid unless announced in a secret group chat (with people who shouldn't be part of that group).

Churning through leaders usually comes right before a business catastrophically implodes. It's not a good sign for the health of the system.
- Not to disagree with your point about failing businesses but the context is so different here; the US government is functioning beautifully. Best functioning ever. Nationally, internationally, top marks. Economy, society, technology top marks. Personnel? Amazing, qualified, competent, trustworthy, discerning, strategic, long-term serious brains on these folks. Need I mention the utter rock-solid stability we've witnessed? It's...hard to describe.
