I hope they didn't vote for smol PP.
"Record turnout" is the last thing any conservative candidate wants to hear.
Record turnout means our polling forecasts could be wildly wrong, so get your butt out there and vote!
Oh, I'm gonna vote, alright. For APPC!
Lol
I'd be curious if the timing of this being Easter weekend has anything to do with this. Many people had the stat holiday off and it'd work out well to swing by the polling station on their way to visit family.
Make voting accessible and more people vote?
No, that's crazy talk. Get out
The only problem now is we have to wait another 10+ days for the results.
Is there any benefit to advanced voting? I mean, it's not busy at my local voting station on election day (at least not historically), so that's when I plan to vote.
Is there any benefit to advanced voting?
It helps people who are working or traveling on election day. It makes voting easier for people with disabilities and reduces long lines on election day, etc etc etc.
tl;dr Encouraging more people to participate in an election is a good thing.
The more people do it the less wait time there is on election day, the less people will turn around and decide not to vote.
I like to go during Advance voting so that I can stop thinking about it, and if I forget to do it early I still have a few days leeway.
I wait until costed platforms are out
I tho j the liberal one came out today, but I’ve been very busy with Easter and doing know for sure
You might be unexpectedly sick, hospitalized, dead, in jail, or otherwise unable to vote on election day. Early voting lets you avoid unexpected issues.
This election is probably the important one of our lifetime. I’ll be traveling on election day. And I can’t afford not to vote.
Just the flexibility to get it done on your own terms, really.
Avoid crowds and lines during regular voting day
Get it out of the way early
Just in case you're busy on voting day for whatever reason
Gotta vote while you still can! Democracy isn't taken for granted anymore!
OK, this bodes well. I am cautiously optimistic.
Every election seems to break a new advance voting record. I think that the only thing really happening is that advance voting is becoming more mainstream. When I was a kid, it was something done by people about to go on holidays or being impossibly unavailable on election day. Now, it's pretty common among the general populace, even if they can make it out on election day.
