In winter I think it's bad to be nocturnal, you need Vitamin D exposure. In other seasons, you'll get enough incidental Vitamin D exposure, so as long as being nocturnal doesn't reduce your mood.
Suddenly I don't want my planned dinner, I want that spread.
Happy birthday! This platter sounds nice, which cheeses will feature?
That is just no respect for your time. Not a good friend.
Why did her legal team think it was a good idea to put her on the stand? The prosecution is going to destroy her credibility.
My head still hurts this morning, it feels like a bad headache. Trying to do some work but my motivation is pretty low. Still wondering why me? Of all the people gawking at this guy going nuts, I was the one he singled out.
I called the police last night to ask why I hadn't been contacted yet, a sergeant got in contact with me and apologised that the officers at the scene didn't even ask for my details when I told them what happened. The guy had only been charged with property destruction offences before I called, what happened to me wasn't even recorded. What a joke right? I'm giving a statement on Friday.
All clear from the GP - he just said to monitor during the next 24 hours for swaying movements or anything else unusual, if that happens then I need to go hospital.
The $110 bill for the appointment was a sting but my usual bulk billing doctor closes at 6pm and the other one in my area was fully booked, didn't have a choice. I reckon the shopping centre management should be paying, not me.
I booked an appointment with my local GP in 30 mins to get checked out. If they say I should go to the ER I will go. So far I feel ok, just sore and I can feel a lump. Thank you though, this is what I needed to hear!
I was at the shopping centre earlier, paying for stuff at the fruit shop. I hear all this yelling and see a guy going nuts from a security guard confronting him over stealing something from a store. He starts shouting and causing destruction - knocking store displays over, hitting fruit and vegetables from displays onto the ground and was coming closer to me. I turn around and start pushing my trolley back from the register to get away from him. While I was turned around he picked up a giant pumpkin from a display next to the register and threw it right at the back of my head. This was a massive grey pumpkin, like a rock to the head. Now Iβm sitting here with an ice pack to my head wondering why me. Thankfully no bleeding and I feel ok so far, just sore.
I reported it to centre management and made myself known to the police before I left. Surely this is some kind of assault.
Me! I think it's quite rare for the accused to take the stand in a murder trial, cross-examination by the prosecution is going to be a hoot.
Anyone seeing the aurora? Last year when this happened I could see it through a camera in my backyard, this time no. I think yesterday was stronger but it was too cloudy.
Well that was an eventful morning train ride. Packed in like sardines as Metro cancelled a train during rush hour, then someone fainted in the train. I pressed the emergency button as I was right next to it, and a group of us helped the person out of the train. While this was all going down, people on the platform were trying to cram into the train and those of us helping were yelling to back off so we could get the person off the train. The next train was coming in 5 minutes, the desperation of people to cram in was nuts.
In my weeaboo days I used to love listening to Japanese language music. Somehow a hook / chorus in pop music transcends understanding the language. It actually helped me learn some Japanese.
Hello! Been a little while since I posted, I was o/s for a couple of weeks. Got back yesterday and slowly adjusting to normal life again.
Woke up before sunrise as I was asleep by 9pm last night, completely totalled from the flight home (got the row behind the loud & crying toddler, lucky me). Still not feeling 100% though, there's a big sleep debt to catch up on. Have been tackling some life / business admin and washing this morning. Then will go for a walk to bask in the winter sunshine and need to fill my very empty fridge with food.
π€ no better feeling than turning 18 and the freedom being able to drive brings.
I really don't understand people's obsession with using Teams / Zoom / whatever for one-on-one short meetings that are perfectly suitable for a phone call. I get it if there's more than one person involved in the meeting, or it's going to be a detailed meeting. Then I feel awkward if I leave my camera off when the other person joins with it on (and 95% of the time, it's on).
I feel sorry for Zoe Daniels and footage of her early celebrating only to lose her seat. At least Monique won't suffer the same fate!
I had a follower on my afternoon walk. Always give her pets when I see her but itβs never enough, follows me down the street demanding more.
Yay! Pilot light - if it's like my old gas water heater, there's a ignition button you push a few times and hold once you hear gas, then watch for the flame to appear underneath and continue to hold the button for a bit, then release.
Also account for the time for the water to heat up, so maybe do this 24 hours before you need hot water.
I swear I'm about ready to cut off my nose. It's been weeks of this.
