(Its actually why I made this question. Both the Netflix and Tencent versions were awesome in their own ways)

  • So, Mr. Yen, are you still sympathetic to the republicans, who have a disdain for the same courts that gave you a win?

Or is your head burried so deep in your particle accelerator you don't even have any clue about politics?

Dude thinks he knows everything because he has a PhD in Physics, literally out of touch with the politics that anyone doing 5 minutes of web searching can understand.

  • I mean that's what jail is for.

Think about it this way. If a young adult (like 18 year old) kills a parent as revenge for getting abused as a kid, do you think this person would just get to move freely before trial?

Sure, I'd also sympathize with this young adult, and the parent deserve to die for being an abusive piece of shit, but that doesn't mean this person can just go wandering around the city.

  • I literally obtained derivative citizenship. I never even took an oath.

    https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-h-chapter-4

General Requirements for Automatic Acquisition of Citizenship after Birth

The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA) amended INA 320 and removed INA 321 to create only one statutory provision and method for children in the United States to automatically acquire citizenship after birth. According to INA 320, a child born outside of the United States automatically becomes a U.S. citizen when all of the following conditions have been met on or after February 27, 2001

    • The person is a child of a parent who is a U.S. citizen by birth or through naturalization (including an adoptive parent);
    • The child is under 18 years of age
    • The child is a lawful permanent resident (LPR)
    • The child is residing in the United States in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent.

There is no specific order in which the conditions of the law must be satisfied for citizenship, so long as all conditions are met at a single point in time before the child’s 18th birthday.

    Although this part is concerning:

A person born outside the United States is presumed to be an alien. As such, the person claiming U.S. citizenship has the burden of proof to establish by a preponderance of the evidence that they have met all requirements for citizenship.

There are some South Korean Adoptees who never became US citizen because the adoptive parents never applied, which is why this law was passed to make it automatic.

What are the best instrumental music you heard of?

  • The son is in his 30s with two kids, apparently having moved to the US as a toddler

So the only way they this happened is if the trump-voting parent became a citizen after the son became 18.

But then why did the parent wait 18 years before naturalizing? 🤔

I'm so confused on this story. Anyone got a news article on this?

  • Children adopted by US Citizen parents automatically become US citizen upon adoption papetwork is finalized and uppn arrival in the US.

Adopted Children also become automatic US Citizen if, while they are Lawful permanent Resident and under 18 years old, one of their adoptive parents become a US citizen.

So this doesn't make much sense unless of very rare circumstance of the parents bringing in a kid and then not naturalize until the kid is already 18.

  • Sure, lets hire children for everything, I mean everything:

"I'm bored, my mom grounded me"

    "Hey wanna play a game?"

    "What?"

"Lets, turn the keys, see what happens."

    "..."

"C'mon pussy. There's nothing fun at home anyways, you're grounded. This is gonna be fun!"

    "Um... fine..."

    "Alright, 3... 2... 1..."

    keys are turned simultaneously

Humans now lose the ability to speak, but gains the ability communicate via pulses of light. How does society change?

  • I remember reading an old news article where a man from China stayed awake for 11 days to watch football and he died.

I don’t know how the guy in China deliberately went 11 days without any sleep at all to watch a football game.

After reading the comments, I'm also wondering how he stayed up for so long.

I speculating it could be some sort of drugs keeping him up.

China is a society that, like many Asian countries, have a very negative view of drugs due to British colonialism, so its possible that there was drug use involved and it was covered up to avoid losing "face" to the family.

  • To be fair, if microsoft didnt automatically backup the keys, a simple BIOS/UEFI setting change, or windows update could trip the Secure Boot settings, which would clear all the TPM keys from the system, which means the sysyem would prompt you for the recovery key. I think people value being able retain access to their data over encryption. And to Microsoft's credit, its not exactly a secret, they literally tell you that the key will be uploaded.

  • Will there even be a specter of fair and free elections for POTUS in the future? (Doubtful)

There will be free elections, eventually.

After a bloody conflict on the streets, that is.

Traitors have stolen the country and the US is in need of a second American Revolution.
