[PSA] 2.4g Controllers and interference with USB 3 ports (e.g. docks)
  • And I thought my issues were because the dongle was bad. I mean, it’s still bad (lack of shielding) but I thought it was a range issue.

  • Kamiya Critiques Wii Version of Okami | Retro Gaming News 24/7
  • Nintendo has a bad track record on this though, the recent Donkey Kong release has this issue.

  • What are your favorite accessories for the steam deck?
  • A JSAUX Dock, Vader 3 controller, and Phillips SHP9500 headphones.

  • Mario Kate update
  • MK8 is amazing. I was actually playing it again this weekend with my kid, the Wii U version. It’s fantastic.

  • Retro Warriors 498 - WonderSwan
  • On another note I’m also playing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and I’m loving it. It feels weird to like something from Ubisoft these days given everything that happened, but that game scratches my itch in a very good way.

I think it was priced wrong. Also not released on Steam for whatever screwed up reason.

  • Retroid with Splinter Cell 1 for PC
  • That’s a shame. I remember I was very impressed by this game when I played it back then! I didn’t finish it though.

  • Retroid with Splinter Cell 1 for PC
  • Good to know it runs well! Games from that era sometimes are very picky with controllers. Try this:

  • My SO got a steamdeck today, and it's a lot better than I imagined it to be
  • Yeah, I love we can do that if we want, even though I don’t do it much myself

  • What do you regard as retro?
  • I used to be stricter with that. Now I consider retro any platform that are 2 generations behind (for the ones still active in the market). So PS3/360 and earlier.

  • A proof that we can beat games in these handhelds.
  • I didn’t play the others to say it for myself. People have said exploration is more organic on the other games of the series.

I liked the gameplay but I disliked the mechanic of having to beat an arbitrary amount of bosses to unlock the next area.

  • Awesome! My first was Samus Returns on 3DS and I heard it isn’t the best to start with. I’ll try this one!

  • My SO got a steamdeck today, and it's a lot better than I imagined it to be
  • You can install another distribution on it and make the desktop the default boot option! It’s not how I would use it but it’s a major selling point for me. I’m not stuck with the walled garden, even in the default OS!

  • My current handheld lineup
  • That’s the major factor in play here for me to get it

  • R36H: New budget gaming handheld with dual memory card slots
  • Hopefully it has better buttons! I have a R36S and it has a nice screen and performance for the price but I dislike the buttons.

  • Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker

Sega Genesis version running on a Steam Deck (docked)

I love this Genesis/Saturn-like 8bitdo controller! Just holding it is so nostalgic.

    My current handheld lineup
  • RP5, but shipping is a pain. I can’t wait!

  • My current handheld lineup
  • Looks great! I’m waiting for a Retroid to ship, meanwhile I have a R36S.

  • small upgrade to my steam deck
  • I would never do this but it is fucking amazing. Great job!

Mine is docked in a utility cart with a 27” monitor on top 70% of the time. I love these ideas 🤣

  • [Game] Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition gets updated, needs a fix on Steam Deck
  • That’s how I’ve been treating any other dev that mistreats the Deck, Rockstar won’t be different. That’s how it should be.

  • Plucky Squire on Steam Deck

    Plucky Squire review by SteamDeckHQ

I'm a little bit bummed by the performance and RAM glitch on this one. I'm still excited for it though! I'll wait a little bit for a patch, even though is totally playable at launch.
