Iran was only becoming harder and harder to attack as they kept building more ballistic missiles and recently defeated the attempted color revolution by shutting off the internet and firewalling the country, it was now-or-never.
Obama and Trump are just tragedy and farce; an outsider candidate promises to change things and then just does what his party always does when he's actually in office. Obama just did more Clinton third wayism, Trump just does more Bush neoconservativism.
College is about accreditation instead of learning, so people will only put in the effort they need to become accredited rather than putting in the extra effort required to actually learn.
There's a propaganda effort by white supremacist society to paint all reparations as "evil revenge against white people :<" instead of what it actually is: correcting the injustices of slavery by making whole the descendants of slaves who have been robbed of their heritage and generational wealth.

Cool anecdote. Every time we actually see real data, though, the numbers don't reflect much in the way of productivity gains or increased efficiency or better output. People say that LLMs are useful because it feels useful, but we aren't seeing actual usefulness. The most recent study out of Duke University observes "a productivity paradox, in which perceived
productivity gains are larger than measured productivity gains, likely reflecting a delay in revenue
realizations."
Robots aren't like software, it's immediately obvious when they don't work the way they're advertised whereas chatbots can trick people into thinking they're way more useful than they actually are. The "fake it till you make it" "move fast and break things" ethos of tech doesn't work when there's actual, physical evidence that shit's busted.
To what end? What’s the logical conclusion people should draw from this?
Instead of only engaging in politics every few years when its time to vote, people should be politically active all year and engaged in struggle in the workplace and on the streets. Minneapolis shows the way - they didn't vote to get rid of Kristi Noem, they forced her out by taking to the streets and by launching a general strike. Voting might be part of a larger strategy, but only part of one.

Tech companies and people who work in tech tend to give more to Democrats. Palatir is an exception to this general rule, but Meta/Alphabet/Microsoft were mostly behind Harris in the 2024 election. Does this surprise you for some reason?
