  • Not many wagons left. Will probably end up looking at Volvos. Hopefully more reliable than Subaru, and they're actually shaped like wagons.

Was looking at old Rangers/B2000s for a while, but it doesn't make any sense. And I know Tacomas are out of budget lol

  • I don't actually think that $90 for a game is ridiculous nowadays, if the game has tons of content.

But a company of Nintendo's size, with their sales volume, selling a game for $90 when it only has a few hours of content? Fuck off

They're like the exact opposite of the spectrum from Minecraft

  • My car is probably going to die soon and I'm going to have trouble replacing it with something that actually has physical controls, doesn't have a massive annoying touch screen, doesn't have LED headlights set blinds everybody driving towards me or walking their dogs, isn't a compact crossover bloated to the size of an SUV from 20 years ago, and can fit 8 ft length of raw material in it.

Or rather I'm going to have trouble replacing it with something that I like for a decent price that isn't too old and isn't a van. Not necessarily because vans suck, vans are great. But the good ones are expensive, even used

  • We're a lot less upset now that we see people actually fighting back - the protests, town hall zoos, Teslas spontaneously combusting..

I'm torn between disgust overall and pity and wanting to help. The thing that leans me towards the latter instead of the former is that I can see the right here in Canada trying to follow america's footsteps...

I'm empathetic towards those who voted against this, but disgusted with the country on the whole.

  • Woodworking @lemmy.ca

The number of clamps required to glue up a simple box

  • I was showing a co-op how to do something last year and told them to navigate through our department drive into whatever folder we were looking at.

They couldn't do it. They had somehow managed to get to the department drive in file explorer, but then completely fell apart when I narrated the names of the folders to go down into. Like I'd say "Go into 'desks and tables'" or whatever and I'd watch them drag their cursor past the Ds, past the Es, and then just click on something completely different. Like their brain just stopped working. It took us like 2 minutes to get less than 10 folders deep.
