I know it's not a perfect solution but considering the options, it's better to "sell" my attention to corporate ads in exchange of planting trees than nothing. Even then, I rarely see ads after whitelisting the site.
As far as my research goes, Ecosia seems quite reputable and I support their mission. If they're proven to be otherwise in the future, I won't have a problem to jump ship.
It's interesting phase on fediverse, not hard to be well-known right now. I've certainly remember some usernames from seeing them at unrelated communities in different instances and they're aren't even trying to be popular, just leave thoughtful comments a lot.
Thanks, very helpful! What about posts from instance B and comments in instance B post? I'm assuming instance B users can see both comments from instance A users and instance C users but for them (instance A and C users), they can only see their respective instance users' comments and instance B users' comments?
This is a very real concern. I just don't understand why this isn't a Hot Topic among the moms around me. They can talk about anything under the sun that is harmful to their kids, things that are directly or indirectly caused by climate change, but glossed over climate change itself. I guess it's just one of the things they feel are out of their reach, too bleak probably.
I don't have strong aversion to kids like some hardliner anti-natalist, but this is why I strongly prefer adoption than making babies.
Why is reddit@lemmy.world using r/danganronpa's avatar?
Dunno if it's intentional or not, but I love it. The correlation is hilarious.
(Sorry if this topic isn't allowed, mods.)
I do this too. Especially weeks/months/years old post that ask IT-related question that I found in the first place from search engine because I was trying to find the answer. I feel the obligation to leave a reply after I found the solution.
