Video footage has been released showing the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian troops near the settlement of Krynky in Kherson Oblast, in Ukraine’s south.
I have already argued at length that Russia, being the most sanctioned and economically undermined and terrorized country on earth, via embargoes and outright industrial sabotage like the Nordstream attacks, may be underachieving—for now—while hiding a far more powerful economy than current records imply. If you take away those artificial handicaps unfairly gimping Russia’s economy, then it is almost certain that Russia’s true unmeasured economic might is that of 3rd place behind China and the U.S. It’s remarkable that even under unparalleled attack, Russia is able to command one of the fastest growing and most robust economies in the world.
Oh boo hoo. Maybe Russia should consider ending their war of aggression so the world can see how powerful their economy actually is.
Maria Andreeva, a key face of the movement, has emphasized that she supports the guiding logic of the full-scale invasion, but is protesting the Russian government's treatment of its soldiers and the inability of mobilized men to be rotated out of the front line.
She also has repeated Russian propaganda about the Bucha massacre, in which hundreds of Ukrainian civilians were killed by Russian soldiers, saying that it had been "staged" by the West.
Disappointing yet unsurprising.

There's no way that was pass interference on [player], the refs are clearly rigging the game for [opposing team]!
Absolutely excellent article. I was just thinking about this topic last night with all the Hexbear drama going on after taking a peek at their front page seeing all the Russian colonialism apologists and excusers posting there.
Yes, there were reports recently of manned serveilance aircraft being subjected to wake turbulence. I think there were other incidents in addition to this report.
It is reported that the passage was secured by a US P8 anti-ship aircraft.
That seems pretty significant. It seems unlikely the ships would have been targeted by Russia if they were flying the flags of their country of origin, but to have an armed escort is definitely a huge deterrence. I have to wonder what sort of response it'll garner considering all the other 'unprofessional acts' Russian aircraft have been employing against unarmed US aircraft lately.

Zelenskyy Calls for Ukraine-NATO Council Meeting Due to Russia's actions in Black Sea
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appealed to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg with a proposal to immediately convene a NATO-Ukraine Council due to Russias aggressive actions in the Black Sea.
"We talked [with Stoltenberg – ed.] about the security situation now, in particular the Russian aggressive steps in the Black Sea. Any destabilisation in this region, disruption of our export routes will mean problems with corresponding consequences for everyone in the world. The price crisis is the least of the possible consequences.
We discussed with Mr Stoltenberg our steps to unlock and ensure the sustainable operation of the grain corridor.
In our cooperation, we have moved to a new, higher level – the level of the Ukraine-NATO Council. And this mechanism can work. I have approached Jens with a proposal to convene such a council without delay for appropriate crisis consultations. In one of the following days the meeting will take place. We can overcome the security crisis in the Black Sea."

Looking through the mod log, I don't blame them for nuking the whole thread. Your comment seemed respectable enough, but the others were devolving pretty quick.
The name of the newspaper translates to Ukrainian Truth and from what I was able to dig up seems to be a fairly reputable source, surprisingly. Here's a writeup on the Boston Globe website: Article
Doesn't appear so, the only listed mod of the community, @lisko@sopuli.xyz, hasn't had any activity for about 2 months. I'm not sure how functional the mod log search by user is, but I couldn't find any activity in there either.
