Why UK?
I guess the biggest expense is the hard-drive that needs to keep spinning and powered. I could create a new thread asking about torrent hosting on SSDs vs hard-drives. The constant (random) read operations should break hard-drive after some years?
Oh I forgot about that micro-nation that elects a new leader on death I guess?
what was your highest rate? A ratio of 3x ?
That would be a horror-story for me, electricity prices are high and the downloading computer should run for 24/7, with a spinning hard-drive.
20 minutes a day
Wow did he have some automation that restarted his computer daily? Amazing that the torrent finished for you!
I also have one that is sitting 50% and it has been sitting there for days. I think people should be honest about torrenting, its obvious. The experience can be hit and miss, some seeders have very slow connection, and break all the time (intentionally)?

How many days did your slowest torrent take to download?
Any experienced torrenters here? For me a torrent took like 3 days for a 4 Gigabyte movie, I had like 1 slow ass peer at a time.
The drone revolution has to impact the policing at some point. Drones are way cheaper to operate than Helicopters, while giving like 50% of the capabilities of one, in regards to optical area viewing.
Auto-Moderation can be configured wrong.

Ranking of most theocratic nations on earth?
Are there any rankings on theocratic nations, how they force their population to adhere to some "god-said-so" rules?
I guess Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia would lead such a ranking.
- Afghanistan
- Saudi-Arabia
???
I guess most nations leading this will be muslim. At some point the Russia (orthodox Church) US (evangelicals) and Israel (Zionism) might follow. Europe, Scandinavia, might be the most free on earth in regards to Theocracy, performing as well as Japan and South Korea.
The evil of the google-reddit hybrid mix knows no bounds. The site turned toxic.
For national security reasons we can not publish all information.
This makes one so depressed, realizing it was better a few years ago, like 2019 the vibes I got from these sites was different.
active subs like ... r/news r/politics ?
I guess manipulating those is seen as essential by some.
In the future they can always block or shadow-ban such conversations with keyword-search and AI.
why did you get shadow-banned? Did you make any controversial statements?
there are many more forums on the internet on the fediverse. They could also just have joined facebook.
alt text: A screenshot of the reddit app. It is of a sub-reddit called r/AskSocialScience "Why did America quit Cigarettes, while Europe and Asia only ...". A series of deleted replies to the question from 3-4 days ago is shown like:

This seems as problematic, since reddit will not exist as a place for organic conversation like this any longer but an over-moderated place.
is this a new hoop you have to jump across to be considered a valid user?
Thank you for your service of the fediverse. You can be proud of yourself. I could never do something like run such a big instance.
They seem sterile, devoid of something real. The frontier of the internet has moved on.
gaygal? I think you mean alphabet cooperation ™️
I am sure their AI is watching your comment right now. And mine, fuck.
