  • How can anybody look at that and say it's a blight on the landscape? These are the types of pictures one would expect from futurism communities. Nary pollution in sight! Simply spectacular.

  • I really thought it was going to explore more of the connection, show what humans are able to do with all the knowledge shared across billions, maybe have a main character that's cynical but not just wanting for things to go back to the way they were for no good reason and just hating everyone and everything - except it they have long legs and are their sexual fantasy.Imagine starting to research the construction of a spaceship and then suddenly connecting with an unexpected other species on earth e.g mice, pigs, dolphins, whales, etc. and having to figure out what to do then. The virus obviously infected mice and they were intelligent enough to infect humans.

    The way they "accelerated their plan" after being discovered and suddenly the entire world simultaneously gets turned also just didn't make sense. They could've even explored that aspect a little but it was just a deux ex machina. Her wife/girlfriend/whatever dying was also unnecessary for the plot. The protagonist was already hating everybody. The wife's survival wouldn't have changed anything in that regard. Instead we got to watch her scream, moan, and whine for 3 or so episodes. I clocked out once the dude started his trek.

    IMO, they could've done so much more.

  • I'm not a fan of Pluribus, and it's not just being contrarian. A friend told me about it at a dinner party and the concept seemed interesting. Forced myself to watch it due to their recommendation and, to me, it was a waste of time.

  • Interesting. The only times I was invited on Discord was for calls (video and audio) and chatting, which Matrix has. What's so special about Discord's video chat and screensharing?

    Matrix has video rooms which act as voice rooms if you turn off video, you can screenshare too. Just activate the "Video Rooms Beta" (Settings --> Labs --> Video Rooms Beta) and you're set.

  • The entire story seems to be "I'm unhappy, so nobody should be happy". Amazing show 👏 Had she been a side-character, OK, but to making her the main character is just completely boring. What are we going to have this episode, oh another tirade? How original. Maybe we'll have her nearly find love again but some even will remind her that she has to be unhappy!

    The only interesting thing the show has going for it is the mind meld, but beyond that it's just a tiresome show. If I wanted to watch people have no hope, I'd watch the news about the US.

  • That show was terrible. The character she plays seems to be on the verge of a mental breakdown every episode. The show is supposed to be comedic or something, but I couldn't laugh at any point in the show. The South America dude should've been the main character and put into a different setting. He was bad-ass and didn't just act like a little child throwing tantrums all the time.

  • They estimate 6M people travelling to watch the games? 😂 Sure. 6M people will take the chance of getting rerouted to El Salvador or shipped to a detention facility. Even if they were all white, they'd all have to be conservative and not say a single bad thing about Trump otherwise they could be put on a plane back to where they came from.

    Transportation, I contend, is the least of visitors problems.
