Are IDEs the microsoft word of programming?
I've heard of one of these people, but only because of a single youtube video. The talkshow host therein mentioned something about Cumberbatch having two fan-groups that somehow hate each other. No idea who the other two are. Dua Lipa sounds like "Dual Lips", so I'm guessing Only Fans or porn star.
Among the famous people to put their names to the letter are singers Dua Lipa, Annie Lennox, Paloma Faith, Massive Attack and Primal Scream.

The fediverse is just so geeky. I don't know what this means. The wikipedia article kinda makes sense, but there's a lot of terminology in there. It seems like an advanced editor with many features - like a bat-mobile for programmers, but it keeps breaking down?

There are termites like that all over the world. Have you been to Africa? There are termite mounds bigger than 3 storey houses sticking out of the ground there (no photos unfortunately but Guiness World Record entry)). Looks at these ones in Brazil. Not only are they numerous, the area they cover is the size of Britain!
The article is rubbish. There's no comparison, no more information about the type of termite what their average breeding cycle is compared to other termites, what they eat, what they are dangerous to, which climate they live in, etc. Garbage article.
They don't even say why they are the "worst termites". What makes them worse than others?
If your joke might be offensive to anyone, its probably best to save it for outside of the workplace if you share it at all.

Hmmm... that's nominally better. Which user would respond to a PII request from an admin? I for sure wouldn't. Would you? And servers could run their own bots too, no need to pretend on a browser.
But I do agree that with control of admin and choice who to federate with, it is possible to reduce the number of bots. Eliminating them is not possible, IMO. I'd be surprised if there's any defence against a bot that can control a browser and maybe even go as far as pretend to use a mouse.
Oops. Reverse question then. Why can we observe it on lemmy? How can we do that? Can't bots operate web browsers? How would they be detectable?

I just don't get why you're asking about reddit here and asking about bot detection on lemmy. Are you actually worried that you don't know whether you're talking to a bot on lemmy and not reddit? It's just confusing to me.
