  • Not an American, but it's worth saying that despite their labour market's galling shortfalls, they don't have a culture of 12 hour days for 6 days per week. Many work much less, and those who do pull those kinds of hours are typically tradesmen/women who make pretty good bank. Those types of jobs are being systematically eliminated by corporations, but I digress.

  • It won't be them living the reality though, it will be their subordinates and employees. The same ones already being crushed to death by production metrics, stagnation of wages and inflation. The people involved in these decision making processes are too well shielded from the actual consequences, beyond maybe driving past and seeing the ruins of what used to be towns/cities/neighbourhoods destroyed by the free market and social policies.

  • Did the story list every single American city, or was it a complete obfuscation of the facts on the ground?

  • Same exact vibe for people unhappy about their family/romantic situation. You don't live in an after-school sitcom, or Hallmark movie, you're a normal dork living in the real world with real and often very flawed people. Forget about the anime protagonist with the weird hair and spectacular magic fate, you're one of those wieners sitting in the background of scenes. Take it easy on yourself.

  • @ 'fuck antifa' scrawler

  • Serious question, are the wasps as likely to get diarrhea eating that as I think they are, and will the hive reject them at the entrance if they're doing the insect equivalent of shitting their pants the way hives do with drunks?

  • Very small, precision needle-nose pliers work as well, but there needs to at least be a very small part of the key-break to grab. If the key somehow snaps in a position that's even slightly recessed, I've used a tootpick and tiny dab of superglue (not enough to spread and touch the lock itself - be careful lol).

  • She beep

  • Please tell your cat that I said 'beep' back. :3

  • I'm not on the inside track on this, but it may be for biometric cataloguing of persons denied entry, or even something so simple as testing for drugs, but couldn't say 100% what U.S. immigration agents have been legally entitled entitled to since 9/11.

  • If anyone wants/needs a turn-based Fantasy/Strategy/RPG game in their life, take a look at Age of Wonders.

  • Cool, thanks for the info.

  • Imagine the Pakistanis' shock that such a shining scion of human greatness and integrity would run counter of the foundational principles for which the Nobel Peace Prize is supposed to stand. /s

  • Slow your roll, she may be a hypocritical piece of shit, but there's no sense in jumping out of the frying pan and into eugenics.

  • As a foreigner, it's lowkey fucking hilarious to see Americans call everything left-of-center "Leftist/socialist/radical", when even the Democrat party would typically be classed as slightly right of center in many democratic nations. Their attacks on countries like Sweden, Germany, Canada, etc. for enacting basic social programs to stem the damage from addictions and homelessness for example are pretty telling, as though it would be beneficial to society overall to leave people to their fates with no assistance, as though they were fish that jumped out of water onto the beach - as though they should just be left out in the sun to die, and rot in the open air while everyone passes by unconcerned.

  • Good to know, it's such simple stuff, albeit not at a cost of zero dollars it's worth it.
