  • But then they don't get to use force and cherry pick who they persecute.

  • As a firm believer that snitches get stitches, 100% this.

Although I dont do it like this guy, I just buy shorter socks.

Just above the ankle cut for me, thanks.

  • Even if you somehow had your own sovereign nation with everything needed to self-sustain your whole family, never needing to leave...

    You're still paying.

    With your time and effort.

  • Commenting solely on the PR aspect, i always immediately side with the individual over the company.. Even if the person in question is literally trying to destroy the company entirely, and did blatantly illegal things like breaking in to steal a formula or something.

I might change my mind at some point afterward, but I will always immediately side with the individual simply because a company can crush an individual's life with ease, but an individual cannot so easily crush a company. So as far as I'm concerned, it's just solidarity to side against the company.

  • My emails start off with "Greetings" if I don't know the person. I hate when I get an "important" email and I have to go searching for the point because it's buried under 3 layers of "I hope this finds you well" and 6 layers of unnecessary filler about why something needs done. Point first, explanation later.

I don't work in an office, so take my anecdotes at face value knowing that.

I've never started an email about specific things with greetings, no small talk.

If I've spoken to the person I'm emailing before, it's straight to the point. I see no reason to add fluff. And I'm certainly not going to put that shit in there to fluff their ego.

My last email about a visit to a warehouse went along the lines of "I sent this email to (regional manager) already but since apparently he hasn't checked his email in 27 hours, I'll make sure to cc you in all future ones. Here's what's up. I'm leaving for the day."

Honestly you could argue it's "unprofessional" but I've never recieved a complaint, in fact the only thing I've ever heard is "god I wish everyone would just stop beating around the bush" which is as close to an endorsement as I can imagine without explicitly saying "more like this please"

I rambled a small amount but yeah. I don't get why emails to people have to be so formal unless it's literally the first time you're sending one.

After the first one, just get to the point.

  • (paraphrased) Make the lowest white man believe he is better than the highest man of color, and he will empty his pockets for you.

  • Ding ding

I don't care if you used automation to ease a menial task. That's basically half the reason TO automate things.

I DO care if you can't even be arsed to read what the automation spit out to fact check.

  • rule

    Jump
  • Skill issue, tbh.. If you can't afford the extra grams for two small towels, then you need to get a little bit more stamina.

  • And any sort of well regulated militia you try to keep would get raided by a veritable Alphabet Soup of agents. So community defense is even less likely.

  • It's the wojack/Chad meme of "your side is represented as crying wojack, my side is represented with chiseled Chad version, therefore I win"

And the "umm akshyully this is what gaslighting REALLY is" just makes me think someone made this whole thing just to try and prove to another person they aren't a gaslighting narcissist who doesn't believe someone has ptsd and has lasting issues stemming from it.

Besides, There doesn't have to be some elaborate ongoing scheme for something to be gaslighting.

  • I don't often bold comments, but i do like using italics and sometimes all caps to EMPHASIZE an important part. I guess the difference for me is whether it's something I get fired up over like bodily autonomy. I use caps to emphasize more than italics.

In a regular discussion or if I'm just overexplaining something, I stick to italics. (and if I feel something needs additional clarification, but also maybe the reader wants to skip because it's not really necessary, I'll use parenthesis to show where you can skip to)

  • I refuse to believe the Netherlands/Nether Lands one is above the age of 13, or being genuine if so.

That has to be a troll...

    Please....

  • This is my wife.

    She calls mobile data "wifi"

She calls the internet "the wifi" when talking about our specific connection. "is the wifi bill paid yet" even when talking about the internet on my ethernet connections, it's still "the wifi"

  • Well, now at least I can send this about 30 seconds before I send a regular "so anyway, what's up?" and hope they understand.

  • Sir, this is the internet.

You can find Ai porn of a great many members of congress.

It just isn't popular to post on major websites like certain celebrities have been recently.

  • I used to have an Instagram page but I stopped updating and eventually deleted it because Facebook.

So basically I just have what I take pictures of, when people are interested, I show a few examples. I don't advertise my stuff because it's just a hobby and I refuse to make it my job.

a picture of the last commissioned piece before I finished the leather work, spoiler alert they're divorced less than a year later

a replica of the Hunter Blade from the video game Destiny I don't know what to do with

a kitchen knife I made 7 years ago and still use weekly

A hunting/cleaning knife I sold for the birthday of someone who will never go hunting and faints at the sight of uncooked hamburger.

Small knife I made for my wife that she uses to cut up her apples

  • You can, but it's way more expensive and uncommon, so I just assume it was made the cheap way

  • Electroplating/Anodizing is the term you're thinking of.

One thing I've done with a knife is copper coating.

I used a combination of copper sulfate from the hardware store (fungicide/algecide in blue crystal form) and a bit of salt and baking soda to make the electrolyte solution, a piece of copper pipe on one end of the wire and the knife blade on the other.

I should have done an intermediate nickel layer but I was experimenting and didn't prep right or electro plate super long

End result was a copper colored knife with a shiny steel blade edge. If I left it in longer it could have built up enough copper to polish it up.

To get a trans flag you would need to use a combination of different methods from electroplating to titanium vapor.

Supposedly you can electroplate aluminum onto steel, so you could simply electroplate the steel with aluminum, then do the normal acid dye for the anodizing the aluminum. Then a quick sharpening of the edge and you're good to go.

Regardless of the method, it would look fuckin rad
