I'm such a slow player. I feel like I'm learning a lot from daily games, but I've also been trying to do blitz lately to practice openings over and over.
Little known fact: all discarded Tetris pieces are used to build chess boards.
Idiots. My pw’s *******, but all you guys see is stars.
Damn, you're right
Of course. An inch in either direction would be extremely dangerous.
Hey, that's me.
My god, it's beautiful.
I keep hearing people mention "bughouse" but have yet to check out what it is. I'll look it up!
I mean, maybe the super GMs like Magnus can complain about memorizing certain opening lines to some outrageous degree, but even they still have competitive games. For the remaining 99.99999% of players like us, it's not even close enough to solved to be an issue, imo.
I've been pretty into chess lately, and it's such a deep and wonderful game. Even if computers are better than us, there's still a huge ladder to climb between learning how the horsey moves and becoming Magnus Carlsen.
Ugh, I'm so bad at the post game though.
They're just common movie/TV tropes.
Does the teacher often call on him while he's daydreaming?
Aha, this might be what I was looking for! Is OGS the main platform for online Go?
Yes please! This was the obstacle that kept me from trying it a couple of weeks ago. Ideally I'd love to find the equivalent to chess.com (or lichess), but for Go.
What app should I download (on Android) if I want to try Go? There are a lot of them, and I have no idea where most of the playerbase is.
A casino where I always win?
