Ah yes, the "pause traffic laws" button

Ah yes, the Door Dash/Uber "it's cool if I just block an entire lane of traffic, right?" button!
- Isn't that called double parking? Did that ever actually happen?
  
  Double parking would be if someone parked illegally in such a way that it would block someone else in their parking spot. What I'm talking about is when someone like an Uber driver literally turns on their hazard lights and just stops in the middle of traffic to wait for whomever they're picking up, and yes I have seen that happen a number of times lol
- To be fair, if I was paid minimum wage with a penalty if I don't work fast enough, I don't realy have any other choice but be an asshole. Espeially since my mental removedation would prevent me from thinking of any other solutions.

I went a solid 8 years having my kids convinced it was an emergency button that you would press only in an emergency if you had to have the stoplight turn green. Every once in a while I would "break the law" when I knew the light was about to change and push it just before. Their mom wound up spilling the beans :-( I'm pretty sure I could've kept it up till the oldest one started to drive. Lol

Ah, the "I am aware I'm doing something wrong, but I'm doing it anyways" button.

- Some people get intimidated by a tiny bit of weather. I've seen people with there hazards on when its icy out.
  
  Around here people use them a lot when they start hitting traffic backups and slowing down, as well as when they hit a slippery patch, to alert other drivers to upcoming conditions.
  It’s not due to being intimidated, it’s a courtesy.

I think people think of it like the star in super Mario Bros. Push that button, you start flashing, and no one can touch you!

A real problem on the West side of LA, I've had three people doing it at once, once, blocking both ways on a residential street. One was admittedly an Amazon delivery truck but the other two were just assholes.
Not as dangerous as the black Range Rover I nearly hit who had no lights and was simply parked dead in the streets. It wasn't out of order either, that asshole an hour later got back to his car just in time to avoid a tow.

It infuriates me that pretty much everyone uses this to pull over to the side of a street now. (Usually blocking the lane that they're in instead of taking a nearby available space.) Even if you're gonna be an asshole and block traffic at least use your blinker so we know wtf you're doing. If you put on your blinker to the side you plan to stop on then we know you actually plan on pulling over instead of just going slow or stopping in the middle of the road or something. What's more, and here's the genius part, you can use the opposite blinker to signal that you're pulling back out! As opposed to just pulling out with your hazards on with absolutely 0 warning. And yes, they did teach this in driver's Ed, that I somehow remember half my life ago but nobody else can seem to... /Rant
- Or maybe you could just go pull off into the parking lot....

Only avalible in Audi,BMW and Land Rovers
- Tesla has it but the drivers just it and park behind people blocking their exit because they didn't want to pay to activate the button.
- It seems pretty damn available to all food delivery drivers
