I'm UK based and our horrendous new privacy-invading rules mean that I couldn't even see r/beer without providing my passport to Reddit's ID service.

Unwilling to do that, I used Proton VPN to evade the clutches of the IDwalling. At some point they've detected it and perma-banned me from the entire platform. So frustrating.
