  • Something like 45% of the world’s fruit comes from our state alone.

This is obviously not true. Maybe it's true across North America, but California does not produce 50% of the world's produce.

American produce is not found on the shelves of European supermarkets. Even big franchises like Dominos, they source more locally than that.

China produce the most tomatoes in the world, at 37% of the global supply.

  • Fuck off with your device based verification system. That's just the same service, but as a more invasive app installed on your phone.

Instead of scanning a face or ID and uploading it to a service, we're expected to run unverified closed source code on the device we carry everywhere in our pockets?!

  • It isn't about protecting children. It's about exploiting adults.

A majority of people, both children and adults, will successfully be exploited by this. Even if it is eventually repealed (which is unlikely, there are businesses set up dependent on this - we can't deny investors their profits!), it's already happening now.

  • I don't think it's so much one less thing to worry about, rather it gives them some way to argue that they shouldn't be shut down as the result of any lawsuit. But that doesn't mean such an argument would be successful.

  • The researchers are hoping that the tiny cyborg could allow the military to infiltrate hard-to-access space or be used in search and rescue missions to find survivors in natural disasters, according to a research paper.

In other words the researchers are clawing at reasons to justify their research. The Chinese military aren't looking into this, following commands 9 out of 10 times isn't reliable enough to even start development.

This is about as strategically useful as a bluetooh controlled robo-roach.

  • No, the conspiracy theory in 2016 and 2020 was that extra people were voting, in particular dead people and people who weren't eligible. Specifically, Republicans were claiming that Democrats were making fraudulent votes. I'm saying that Republicans took control of vote counting and didn't count Democrat votes.

Furthermore there is a growing body of evidence showing that this has happened. Specifically, sworn affidavits from people claiming they voted one way, which exceed the number of votes that were recorded for that candidate. Furthermore, statistical analysis shows that it is virtually impossible for so many people to have voted for Trump at the top of the ballot but the Democrat line the rest of the way down (the US election isn't just about the president, they lump in Congress, Senate, a bunch of judges, police, and even state law amendments into one multi-page ballot).

So please, with all due respect, fuck off with your mindless hyperbole.
