  • I'm 22 and I came to Lemmy after my Reddit account got permanently banned/suspended for no reason

  • I am a self-taught juggler. I taught myself at the age of six

  • I'd love a bear as a pet. Not to ride necessarily, but just for hugs.

I mean, they look very cuddly irl. I know they're dangerous and I would probably be mauled alive... but I'm just saying, there's a reason why one of the most popular and beloved toys of all time is a cuddly doll made in the likeness of a bear cub

  • Yeah, red panda would make for an adorable pet!

    1. They're cute and fluffy
    2. All they want is to nom nom on their yummy leaves.
    3. Have you seen that thing they do where they put up their arms to make them look more menacing? That doesn't really work, and to me, it just looks like the cute little panda want uppsies.

    I want a red panda

  • Nope, I was absolutely taught that blood in the body is blue until it reaches oxygen. Was paying perfect attention and that is what I was taught

  • Huh?

    Nvm, whatevs🙄😒

  • The Midwest.

  • No seriously, I'm just wanting to find out where this myth came from/why it started.

Did NOT expect people to call me stupid.

  • No.

    I'm not that old.

    Im only 22

  • Wait. That was meant to be with well intentions?

  • Well, I'm disabled/neurodivergent. So really I technically shouldn't be able to get drafted (I'm saying this with the knowledge I gained back when I wanted to join the Marines when I was 15 that the Military doesn't usually enlist people with either autism or ADHD. And I have both. )

  • Simple. I like beef, so I eat beef.

  • Well, I was taught this, so there🤷🏾‍♀️

  • Yes, I was actually taught that blood in the body is blue until it reaches oxygen

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Is there any reason we were taught in school that blood is blue in the body until it reaches oxygen and then it turns red other than our veins look blue?

  • The version of the Little Einsteins theme song i would sing in middle school and high-school everytime we went on a field trip on a school bus

We're going on a trip, in our favorite piece of shit! Doin' 95, we'll probably fucking die!

The teachers hated it but a bunch of the other kids thought it was funny and would sing along

But really though, have you ever ridden on the highway in a schoolbus during a fieldtrip? This is absolutely what it felt like, that you were going 95 mph with no seatbelts and you were gonna die

  • Acupressure rings

  • It is called a bike chain/flippy chain fidget

  • Like the fidget cube?

  • Well, i got my flippy chain from Amazon.

If you search "bike chain fidget" or "flippy chain fidget", you should be able to find some 😊
