  • No and see that's the funny thing. I've had people try to call me stupid or the r slur, but like, they couldn't even be bothered to spell "you are" you're correctly. That always makes me laugh, because oh the irony!

  • Any time anyone starts throwing insults and slurs at me like a Frisbee in lieu of an actual counterarguement

  • I do not "think that the whole world revolves around me"

  • I am on government insurance.

  • Yes, i have in fact tried eating less

  • And see, that's what my problem was

Yes, I am technically a type-2 diabetic, but i am a diabetic with good numbers, so my insurance is saying "oh we wont pay for those meds. You don't need it."🙄😒

  • Yeah, paying $200+ a week for a shot. In this economy?

I don't know anyone who has that kind of money

  • For some reason when I was a kid, I thought the song "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield said "You know I wish that I had Tootsie Rolls" instead of "You know I wish that I had Jessie's Girl".

I still don't know why i thought he was singing about tootsie rolls, but that's how I used to sing along to it

  • Yep, Mychal Threets is the new host of Reading Rainbow!

And he's also the official residential librarian for PBS Kids.

I got to meet him in Kansas City, and he was just as kind and gentle in real life, maybe even moreso, as he is in his posts

  • Hot take? Maybe. Conspiracy theory? Probably a better description for what i am about to say.

I truly believe that the reason the "No Child Left Behind Act" was made/passed, at least in part, was to try and make kids "blind", so to speak, as to the wrong/evil that the government is doing.

Or at the very least, that's why book bans are a thing.

  • I don't think this reads as an ad 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • Oh my stars, this has got to be, single handedly, the absolute best answer I've ever received on any post!

Oh my goodness this had me laughing out loud for a good 5 minutes and I'm still laughing.

Thank you for the good chuckle, I love to laugh. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and week

  • The brand i had before was called ZIHNIC. And they were okay for 25 bucks. But it eventually stopped charging and eventually died forever.

My new headphones cost a little more, about $45, still cheaper than bose but much better bang for your buck imo.

  • I feel like it depends on, like, the topic of the book

Some people say certain Dummies books are really helpful and accurate, some say certain ones aren't.

But I also recently learned a couple years ago that the tagline "A Reference For The Rest of Us!" means that other more knowledgeable people or people who already know a bit about the topic can use these books to brush up on their knowledge or skills. They're "the rest of us".

  • Oh yeah no, I totally wear the kidult label with pride.

You will rarely ever see me without any emotion support plushie in tote

  • That's just your opinion 😊

I don't care about being cool. I collect childhood things because they make me happy.

  • Toys collecting. Especially dolls and or stuffed animals.

When a guy collects Pokémon figures, that's fine and cool.

However when I like to buy myself Bratz dolls and Hello Kitty stuff and cute plushies, I'm told I am childish and I need to grow up🙄😒
