  • okay so i think it may be hardware related cuz it doesnt pickup my voice at all like it produces the usb noise when plugged in (when recording or when it is in the sound menu) i disabled enabled and changed everything in alsa with no diff i mean when lowering the mic audio the noise gets lowered i dont think i installed anything but if i did it prolly was a dependency for something like reaper or some other app im going to live boot fedora rn using ventoy will update after testing is there any other oses i should test too?

  • renaming or cutting the file to a diff folder even with root permission doesnt do anything since i dont even have pulse running if it was running diff story

  • oh it was running at 44k changed it(like 2 seconds ago) to 48 with no solutioni changed it back with no fix stillalso i tried to make both to be 44100 but that gave me in the sound settings a flashing no mic is available error

  • so i tried searching and found this oneand weirdly enough my pc has the daemon.conf file and my laptop doesntin the (laptop)pulse/ has only client.conf and client.conf.d folderalso i have no clue what is the freq rate for thisthe specs only have freq rangechanged sample rate and tried to kill pulseaudio as outlined but it isnt runningso i changed the main rate to 48000 and alt is 44100

  • its a generic jack microphone (ill add specs here and on mint page)i have tried connecting multiple mic with the same problemi also tried connecting it to the back of the pc with similar resultsand the other os thing is kinda hard to do due to limited space on drives

mic specs as written on boxfreq range 35-18 hzsensitivity -30db +/- 3db 0db=1v/pa, 1kzconnector 3.5 trrs connectionalso wanna add its most like an os problem as b4 mint i used to run windows with microphones fine
