Viewtiful Joe is definitely one that should get the treatment
Tbf the comment about the memorial architects having a hard-on for Greek shit was spot on. She said roman but point stands
Ah, little Bobby Tables we call him
My landlady texts like that. But I think she's just speed typing or dictating and not at all reading it before hitting send. The guy who lives in the back does the same, but I think that one's on the drugs
"If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to compensation..."
Maybe it's just been a while for me but what part was this? I dont remember a section like that off the top of my head.
Tbf i think it's because he's at the apex of his jump (like 6in off the ground lol) so the gut kind of shifted up as he came back down. Doesn't make the image any less absurd, but it came to mind when I didn't even recognize the dude. I think the same thing is happening to his jowls in the photo. Either way the man-child is ridiculous. And so is the other one.

The "Community" tab on a game in your library or the store page, I forget which. It's usually filled with guides, art, highlights, and a heavy dose of shiposting (often in the form of fake guides). Have not encountered posts OP is referring to, but I don't really go on there much.

Made the switch to Tidal, and I only have a couple nitpicks: no console app and it does this weird thing on desktop where it plays a split second of paused music when other apps or windows are opened. They're small things though, and I'm happy to be supporting artists more.
Not the person you replied to, but I was the same way until I realized all my favorite artists were either dying or retiring and chances to ever see them were slipping away, and quickly. I just go to whatever shows I can and just be present in the moment. Even small local shows. I've found a bunch of cool artists by going to shows with artists I don't even know.
Like, imagine having the opportunity to see a Zeppelin show in their prime, then imagine thinking about going, then saying "meh." I couldn't even comprehend the regret I would feel passing something like that up. And it circles back to not knowing you're in the "good old days" until they're already past. I just don't want to look back at missed opportunities and kick myself for the rest of my life.
Like they said, it's not for everyone, especially not these days. Ticketmaster is a plague, most shows are ridiculously overpriced with food and drink to match, and way too many people are focused on taking a video they'll never watch. But if things only get worse, I'm going to go down swinging and keep going to shows until doing so would financially break me.
Fun game. I don't usually go in for card games, so I ignored the hype, but this is a good one. Got to ante 4 a few times over the last couple of hours before rng killed me. I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of this one
I have a similar line of thinking. I'm a musician, so if I was filthy rich I might want to donate money to a school's music department. If the school is one fiscal entity, I would have to put that as a stipulation to ensure they gave the money to that department, not divert it to something overfunded or just padding the board's pocket as bonuses for "a job well done"
Same. Is it me or do only like 50% of videos on Lemmy actually play on Boost?
This is outrageous. Where are the bags of garbage that come in to take the socks away? Where are they? This kind of condition is never tolerated in my dresser. You have a hole like that I put you in the trash. Right away. No second chance, no nothing. Socks with holes in the heel, I have a special trash can for holes in the heel. You are ripping: right to the trash. You are having moth holes: right to the trash can, right away. Sock legs too loose: trash. Tight: trash. They get that way where the threads inside tangle up with the toes: you right to the trash. Sock has no padding? Believe it or not, trash. Sock has too much padding, also trash. Not padded, over-padded. Sock was part of a unique set and the other is gone, believe it or not, trash, right away. I have the best sock drawer in the world because of trash.
Arkane and Remedy are the two that stand out at the moment.
Redfall was a pretty bad indicator coming from Arkane. But if they get their act together and go back to games like Dishonored, they'll be back on the good list. Keeping them up here out of hope. They make fantastic games when they're allowed to.
Remedy just always puts out bangers. Control is how I found them, and I love their style as well as the obvious amount of love and work put into their universe. Still need to play AW2, but I've only heard good things about it. They're not everyone's cup of tea, but they are mine.

That is the translation I've seen, so kudos! It's Marth's default taunt voice line. I got really used to hearing it back in the day, usually interrupted as my cockiness got punished.
Yoshi and Marth. In summary, I am what they call a "basic removed." Minna, miteite kure
Stay here and enjoy the Crab Rangoon. I'll be right back.
Can I pre-install Ubuntu on an SSD?
Ths might be a silly question, but asking those is how i learn sometimes. I'm trying to install my first Linux distro to set up a Plex server and one of the few things I know is you need a wired internet connection. My intended server location is across the house from my router, and there isnt much room there to set up temporarily. It would be possible, just a removed and a half. Is it instead possible to connect my SSD via SATA to USB to a laptop, install Ubuntu and wireless adapter drivers on it while connected to ethernet, then put the SSD in the server to boot? Or do I need to do all this through my intended setup?
Thanks for the help, just trying to make my first Linux install as painless as possible.
EDIT: Thank you all for your responses, I'm going to respond as I can since I'm at work. I The number one thing I learned is that I need to do more research. I recognize only a handful of these acronyms lol
