I know I'm voting for Biden to stop MAGA.

Let me break this down for the simple minded:

1. Biden proposes $50k in student debt forgiveness.
2. Republicans fight him to make it $0.
3. Supreme Court sides with Republicans.
4. They force Biden to make it $10k just so it will pass.
5. "Biden pulled a Lucy on his voters!"

Come on now. Why won't somebody think of the economic parasites? :P

I mean, with that relief he could buy more stuff and help keep employment high, or invest his money in an ethical business to spur more job growth... which is more likely if that poster walks the talk. Regardless, college debt is just economic parasitism.

Oh please. None of that even PALES in comparison to the outright supply crunch being caused by housing investors. It doesn't even compare to the damage being done by the rampant construction of expensive luxury/multifamily homes.

Dude you must think they get their degrees in feminist dance or some boogeyman degree. News flash you want some people to get good jobs with that "useless" feminist dance degree. Because if not, they're going to crowd into degrees like engineering and greater numbers of engineering grads creates greater competition for engineering jobs... which drives down the pay that most engineers get, plus it reduces the odds of actually getting a starter engineering job. Supply & demand.

Considering thousands of people recently protested in New York against a men's shelter in real life it starts to become interesting to know who's feeding that attitude and from where.

We need to use another word besides Alpha. The division that the word "alpha" is associated with is the division between men who are desired by women and men who are not. If you're using the controversial word "alpha" that is what you are talking about. It's like classifying the rich vs the poor. Lemmy users don't want to accept this but most heterosexual men want to be the former in either case, no one wants to be the latter.

Too bad the term "Alpha" males has gotten such a bad rap from cretins like Andrew Tate.

The term "Alpha male" refers to men with a mix of being tall, very good looks, charisma, authority, and social popularity. I think we can all agree that men with a high level of those traits are very popular with heterosexual, or have we fallen so far that most people don't see that?

To put it more simply, all the men on Lemmy combined will not have as many women lusting for them as Jason Momoa or one of those Kpop dudes. Don't call it Alpha Male if you want, because the term has been tarnished by hucketers. But we all know the type of man that has zero trouble attracting women.

How about snatching aid from Israel until they stop this genocide? That'll hit them harder.
