Some men will be experiencing problems such as “hesitation” (they step up to wee but nothing happens for a few seconds), a poorer stream than they’re used to and “terminal dribbling” (they think they’ve finished but quite a few drops of urine continue to dribble out - in addition to hitting the toilet seat it might drip into their underwear when they put their penis away). They might even have problems with needing to go very often or all of a sudden.
Symptoms like these can mean that there’s a problem with urine being able to flow out of the bladder easily. One thing that can cause this would be a problem with the bladder, but it could also be a problem with the prostate. You don’t have to be super old for this to start happening.
Regardless it is worth getting symptoms like this checked out with a doctor and making sure it’s not something serious; even if it isn’t, there might be treatment that can help with the symptoms.
Should still wipe the seat when done, or have a tissue handy to catch the drops before they get anywhere.
Happens to me constantly too. Version 0.4.
That’s the one that got defederated.
The problem in the picture isn’t the bikes, it’s the inconsiderate way in which they’ve been parked; as you say the problem can be rectified quite easily.
I’d be annoyed if I came across this while trying to pass in exactly the same way I’d be annoyed if I came across a car parked across the cycle lane or across the kerb.
As for bicycle “hate”, I have no idea how to fix that. I recently came across a whole host of whacky conspiracy theories from people who think legislation that discourages vehicle use (emissions charges, congestion charges, 15-minute town, pedestrianisation, restricting petrol/diesel, even bus and cycle lanes) is all some elitist (globalist, WEF, insert other group here) plot as part of a war on “freedom”. It’s a rabbit hole I’ve now explored once, briefly, and I’m not going back in there. Too much crazy. But these people cannot see the freedom of bikes and appear to really hate them. Worse - they’re often the people who think bicycles need licensing and registration; there’s a real overlap.
Thanks. Managed to lose track of which community I was in.
Yeah; I have no idea as to the energy requirements.
It won’t be possible to dry out any dessicant in the sun because the air saturation issue will nix that in the same way it renders sweating ineffective.
We’re heading towards the Dune universe aren’t we?
If you reply to the reply then they tend to go away.
If you don’t reply they tend to hang around and there isn’t an obvious way to mark them as read unless you log into Lemmy via the web, in which case you can tick them as read.
This temperature / humidity chart from their article is quite alarming. Seems that is only a matter of time before lethal heat / humidity combinations begin to take place in urban centres.
Adequate hydration is clearly a must and maintinating good physical and cardiovascular health are going to help, but I wonder whether some form of dehumidification specifically, rather than just cooling, could also aid survival?

I’m sure it has some components in it that once came from a living organism.
Thank you for the recommendation.
St Elmo’s Fire. I only watched it because of the catchy “full eighties” title track and discovered that said title track totally outclassed the movie.
The other thing with rabbits (and prey animals in general) is they don’t always form a good bond with a human; it can take a long time if they are fussy. Even if they do take to liking you, prey animals tend to only show subtle signs of illness until they are critically unwell by which point it might be too late. That’s before we get to whether there’s a vet nearby who has a special interest in “exotic pets” and who knows how to help.
Edit to add: the signs of illness are subtle because they actively hide it - key to survival is to avoid looking like easy prey.
Ditto magnets. How do they work?
Ah yes. The little grey cells.
There used to be poster you could buy / wallpaper you could download that essentially summarised this Wikipedia page:

Nah. You just get an F.
Opening up a family heirloom - you’re far braver than I!
Glad it’s worked out well; it looks good in the pictures.
It’s a shame that American-design watchmaking diminished significantly over the second half of the last century, but it’s seemingly making a slow revival now (at least among enthusiasts).
Edit: just reminded myself of the madness of the Devon Tread
