  • Okay then go use a vpn and buy YouTube premium from turkey it’s £13 a year that’s what I did.

  • Depends on the time of the year,

During the summer I’d have one before and after work, during winter once a day or once every two days

  • They do not work as well no, take for example if I buy an android phone + a Samsung watch + Sony headphones and run them together you know what happened last time. The Samsung watch broke the Sony headphones touch controls because of the apps not integrating properly.

That’s the kind of it just works apple phones don’t deal with, I work with phones daily and the amount of people I see return android phones compared to iPhones is not even funny

  • Try to as a normal non technical user get a random £200-300 android phone repaired that isn’t Samsung and then try to get an iPhone repaired and see the cost difference

  • If anything that’s nonsense, iPhones are cheaper and easier to get repaired and far less to failure and I say this as someone who runs a store that sells phones.

  • I’d only change one thing and say most of the problems for Iran started because of the UK/US being imperialistic and has never recovered as a result

  • So I was one of those back in 06 and I’m in my mid to late 30s now.

I don’t use Facebook anymore and stopped using Facebook a decade ago because of all the timeline changes.

My guess is they’ve continued to make the timeline stuff worse and worse and that’s why people stop posting cause you don’t actually see each others posts half the time it’s filled with random suggested shit.

  • I’m half way on that journey, went from Rpi4 to M2 Mac Mini to host docker stuff and god knows how much in hard drives.

Really should look at used ones

  • That hasn’t really been my experience, talking to a lot of people tends to seem like most people seem closer to my age 30s with an interest in tech or a tech background.

I haven’t really run into many teenagers in discussions.

  • AD Free YouTube is great tbh, it is generally a good experience no matter what device you use then throw in the claim it supports the content creators more seems like win win

  • Honestly I bought YouTube premium through a VPN to turkey for that price for the entire year. Seems worth it.

  • I used IRC daily religiously for 15 years, but around 2011 I just stopped and never got back into using it. The client of choice was Xchat.

  • I don’t think the size difference works in the favour of lmg.

If gamers nexus puts out pretty much industry leading day one reviews out on every launch with 5-6 people and LMG with labs and 100+ employees can’t then there’s something wrong.

GN has a point LMG shits out videos without QC and it’s starting to bite them of late. The water block review is the perfect example of just being stupid. Why not just test the item with the right product and judge it for what it is as opposed to turning it into a joke review where no matter what the product is going to look bad.

The short circuit thing with the mouse is also a bit ridiculous.

But the charts are the main thing, I’ve noticed it myself over the years that lmg charts made no sense relative to gamers nexus or HUb or even jayz 2 cents which meant something was wrong with the testing.

  • Yeah Steve steve and Wendell would be an amazing trio, Gordon is also really good but he can be a bit rage heavy for me

  • Technology @lemmy.world

    Gamers nexus on LTT

  • I got mine on release day and I'm currently at 93% it does seem a bit much.

  • This does not keep my bookmarks and passwords synced across all the work devices I have to use does it?

I regularly log into 2 work email accounts and have a third that I check monthly. I do this across 5 work devices which are shared, my personal MacBook Air which is used primarily for work and my phone.

If Firefox has sync features that work with cloud storage as opposed to device storage it would be practical otherwise it’s no go

  • My work emails all run through the google suite of applications and I have two of them plus drive etc so having chrome allows me to have multiple profiles for each work account and they are remote managed by the company.

  • You know that’s not a Manjaro problem that’s a user problem, you’re specifically warned that AUR compatibility is not guaranteed with Manjaro https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository

But people often ignore this and then complain that Manjaro isn’t stable.

And yes Manjaro is fully rolling just because they delay packages a week doesn’t stop it being rolling, that’s like calling tumbleweed not a rolling release?

I’m not arguing that Manjaro is better or worse than Arch just that if you use it as intended it functions correctly and is a good way to learn Linux and Arch.

  • I don’t think I would want to live in a world without cheese.
