For some reason I always thought their slogan was ‘armed gays bash back.’ Maybe I’ve just seen stickers on things of that slogan paired with Pink Pistols logos a lot.
Well obviously, the only thing the NRA has ever cared about is selling guns. They may couch it it reasons like freedom or safety but the real reason has always just been profits.

The Mulford act was passed in 1967, when the NRA was still a nonpartisan organization that promoted gun safety and responsible ownership. In 1977 there was an internal coup that replaced the leadership with a group of second amendment extremists (or gun industry shills) who proceeded to turn the NRA hard to the right.

They're defending their market, not the rights of trans Americans. If they actually cared about freedom and the constitution they would be uniting every gun owner to march on Washington and demand a president who follows the constitution, you know, the whole THING the NRA was supposed to represent.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. The NRA (or its political arm) is a lobbying group for the gun industry. Banning any group from buying guns hurts the gun industry.
Especially a group of people who suddenly realize they're in danger and are scooping up guns in large numbers right now.

Due process means a trial. If someone murders a bunch of people the NRA will not necessarily back their 2A rights.

Even in recent years the NRA has been mixed at best when it comes to minority gun ownership. Think of all those cases where a cop shoots a black man because "they thought they saw a gun." Whenever that happens, it's crickets from the NRA. The cops claim the right to shoot black gun owners, even just perceived black gun owners all the time. Yet the NRA rarely comments on such cases. They should be shouting from the rooftops in such cases. Why the hell does a cop seeing a gun give them permission to shoot someone?
Liberals need to stop vilifying the NRA and realize they are good.
