  • Before this BOTW, now TOTK, reason is i don't have a switch and emulator doesn't run well on my machine.

As for why i haven't watch playthrough of it, i like having fun myself and i don't like watching people having fun, it's like spectator sport and i don't like those.

    • I got a switch 2 recently (never had the original and I wasn't about to get an 8 year old machine lol) and finished BOTW in like a month (not 100% but like the main bosses and a bunch of shrines), now I'm on TOTK, and idk I feel like I got burned out playing so much.

Kinda just found out that you can't export saves so I couldn't move it to a steam deck later on... and so... yea... I don't wanna play 3rd party games on it because then my save is stuck on the nintendo ecosystem. Well maybe cyberpunk since they have the crosssaves, but I can't port out a Stardew Valley save for example.

So basically its just a dedicated Zelda/Mario/Kirby machine (since its exclusive to nintendo, I don't have to ever worry about porting out the saves). If I have to travel, I aint bringing two systems (too much hassle to keep track of), so I have to choose if I want the switch or the steam deck.

But I haven't touched a nintendo game for 20 years since I was a kid so like... yea that's why I really got obsessed about getting a switch now. Now that I played a bit, I feel less inclined to continue buying nintendo stuff in the future, like they do have a large library of 3rd party games, but like no crossaves, fuck that. This is probably this last nintendo system I'm getting. Like first party game are fun, but like it gets boring after a while so I have to switch to more... PC-type of games. I was expecting the switch 2 to be like the One machine to carry on the go, so I can have both nintendo games, and skyrim, stardew valley, and various PC games, but yea again, no crosssaves, so that's a big no.
