Those were the days, when your Craftsman tool broke (no, they did sometimes, really) you'd take it back to Sears and get a replacement for free.
- While the quality of the tools may not be quite as good Lowe’s and Home Depot I believe still do this with their store brands also

I make my own moonshine because I can't even afford alcohol but still need the my brain to produce at least some happiness chemicals at least sometimes. Bungs are fucking useless. They don't stay put, they just slowly wiggle out of their hole after 2-3 days. It's hard enough to jury rig a bung to stay put in a hole that the effort is better spent coming up with a different type of airlock system that doesn't involve bungs.

After you get your bung hole reamed, go check your ballcock and make sure it's not sticking

So the word bung hole was used for something else in the past?
- Fun fact: It's still used to describe an access hole in a barrel, or drum. At work, I sell stuff that sometimes comes in 55gal drums. I regularly have to explain what a bunghole is to people who have never worked with drums before, because they think I am being vulgar at first.

Got a couple of drill bits like that. They won't fit in any of my power tools, you really do have to use the hand crank.
