The feature I want most from my next phone is to screen voicemails that mention improving my Google search results (or other keywords that indicate spam)

The vast majority of voicemails that I get from unknown numbers are a prerecorded pitch about improving SCO. Too bad I registered some websites before there were privacy options to prevent personal info from appearing in a whois lookup.

Even better: let me set a list of keywords that flag or delete messages if they appear in the transcription. Sigh.

I know it’s google, but my colleague at work loves his Pixel’s assistant that answers and screens calls for him.
- It's really great, and you can just keep them on the line if it's an actual person.
- Yeah, the next iOS is gonna have that feature. That'll help somewhat.

Voicemail? I wasn't sure we still did that.
- I only read the transcripts. I see the word Google in the top two or three lines and delete. It's like, nine out of ten of them. And then there will be one from my dentist or something.

Why not just turn off voice mail?
- I get legitimate calls (very few) about things like building maintenance trying to schedule when my apt needs service, the finance company wanting paperwork when I paid off my car, etc. At some point, there will be a call from a hospital about a family member. I can't risk not receiving any of the legit calls among all the spam.
  
  These people will call again if you don't have voicemail and you didn't answer.

- Good to know. I don't use an android phone, but now I've got something to lean on sending feedback to Apple about why they need to catch up. Not that I expect that to help.
  
  On average, Apple catches up 4 years after something has become a widespread standard feature.

Sounds like you could use an app that integrates AI STT to do this, it doesn't need to be hardware specific or even baked into the OS

I get 10-15 calls a day about my loan application being approved and to just call them back. My credit is frozen so unknown it’s bullshit! Mother fuckers need to be dropped in a pool full of acid!
- I bet if you didn't apply for a loan, then you'd also know the announcement of a loan approval is crap.
