Would a wild (I think coyote?) even let someone wash it? I suspect maybe a tame one that someone used a picture of to make a funny story.

  I have been known to not get humor, I thought the joke was in sharing someone else documenting a stupid decision of theirs unwittingly, and therefore if it was itself fake it wouldn't have the same impact
- Could it happen, maybe. Did it happen, unlikely but possible.
- I suspect taxidermy. Take a closer look at its posture. It’s looking straight to the front
- coyotes are smart little fuckers.
  they understand that if you act well you get food.
  If you only have one coyote and give them food, chances are likely they will be nice if they think they can get more.
  that said, they are vicious wild animals that should never be approached unless you're looking for a myriad of diseases or injuries.
