US Vice President JD Vance has called on European states to show greater independence, urging them not to be US "vassals." He also said EU governments could have done more to oppose Washington over the Iraq War.

Personally I've stopped listening to what he and his boss says. They way they have been blurbing random things out and pulling them back when the dumbster isnon fire, makes it very hard to take any of it seriously. So why listen in the first place.
They should listen, right now do more to do the US. Don't listen make other trade deals, their the same shit back to them, stop taking them serious, put them in the penalty box now.

Well ironically he's right about that, Europe should have put a stop to the warmongering of Bush Jr and his little toothless puppy dog Tony Blair. That war should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
Bush could have done it without the UK and Poland. Not that their support didn't matter at all, but I don't think they could have prevented that war.
Sanctions against the US could have been a good idea, except it basically would have meant destroying NATO.
It would have been worth it. That war destroyed much of western credibility.
Can we please stop processing every history revisionist bullshit from that regime into news that make them sound like legit opinion pieces?

We should stop being US vassals.
The subtext to "don't be vassals" is a hearty "fuck off". And that's basically all he meant to say, I suspect. And tbh, I am starting to question whether his advice of forging a European path is actually good, given who it's coming from. Otoh, there is an angle from which European armament could be profitable to him, and that is US arms sales.
