Linda McMahon mixed up AI and A.1. — so of course now the steak sauce is all over it

Secretary of education Linda McMahon keeps calling AI, A1.

McMahon said she’d heard about “a school system that’s going to start making sure that first graders, or even pre-Ks, have A1 teaching in every year,” which she said was a “wonderful thing.”

But the comment wasn’t just an isolated slip of the tongue. McMahon added, “Kids are sponges. They just absorb everything. It wasn’t all that long ago that it was, ‘We’re going to have internet in our schools!’ Now let’s see A1 and how can that be helpful.”

No, you fucking idiots. A podcast host said he listened to the actual speech and she clearly mentioned AI before talking about A1 classes and this is a selective snippet to represent something inaccurately. That's what the right does all the time, like the Biden clip where he was "talking to no one" when they framed out a parachute jumper. They lie. Don't give them an opportunity to say that they're being misrepresented. They have tons of real things to be called out. Feeding into this gives them ammo to fight when real shit happens.
