Today I deleted my Amazon-account. I'm optimistic, that I can live without it, since there are alternatives in Germany.

I downloaded all my user data before account deletion. I was shocked how many orders came together in > 10 years. I definitely gave too much money to Amazon.

Yeah i closed my account as well. Fuck them. Once you're out and the convenience ist gone, you really dont mind it that much.
Otto.de is pretty good for boring stuff (towels, kitchen stuff, etc.).

Yeah, Otto.de could be a comfortable alternative for everyday stuff.
But for special things I will also compare prices on geizhals.de and then I know, where to buy it.

Haven’t used Amazon in years. There is an online shop for everything out there. The only thing you loose is the storefront that knows too much about you and tries to make you buy and buy and buy!
