You are spot on. At that point the game is sending a message which could be interpreted as "Go Fuck Yourself". I always play chicken and double down on the full house play even if it fucks the run. Gotta hedge the bets and discard two of the lowest value pairs out of the four pairs just to bait statistics into maybe giving you a third of the higher two remaining pairs.
Yeah, full house from two pairs is a bait. I only go for them when I happen to draw a three of a kind (or when my deck is already skewed towards it), since finding a random pair is much more consistent.
I agree. It's funny, though. I remember the original 151 pokemon without trouble. This new 150 data set, however... I'm gonna struggle in another 30 years.
Pair-stairs evens only. Too bad that isn't a real hand in anything. Though "stairs" or "ladders" or (boring) "sequences of pairs" are valid in some climbing games including the commercial version, Tichu.
