Bitly Changes: Link-Shortening, Now with Advertising
Bitly, the link-shortening service long used by millions, decides it’s going to place an ad between you and your link. Don’t like it? It’ll cost ya.
What surprises me is that they didn't do it sooner. Maybe they finally ran out of vulture capital money, but even if they were still funded, it would have happened anyways. Enshitification is entropy for businesses, it's an inevitable force of nature.
