Post-Election 2024 Anti-Trans Risk Assessment US Map
Post-Election 2024 Anti-Trans Risk Assessment US Map
The risk of severe anti-trans legislation has increased nationwide for transgender youth and adults.

A resource that shows how friendly/unfriendly US State laws are to trans ppl. Split into two maps, one for adults and one for minors.
Trans people are very welcome here in western Washington. The more, the merrier! Don't settle east of the Cascades, though.

Any advice for people looking to move to that end of the country? Ive lived in England so the rain doesnt bug me.

In all seriousness, the west coast is a beautiful place, so the best thing you can do is get some good gear and a pass and go out hiking, biking, and generally explore all over.
Sadly a lot of are cities aren’t as walkable as the ones in Europe, but Seattle and Portland have a decent transit system at least.

If you work in tech, there are a lot of jobs available. I think we've still got a teacher shortage as well. And the police force is hiring aggressively in Seattle, though I doubt that's your profession if you're here. There's always a shortage of restaurant workers, but they won't be hiring someone who's not in-state already.

Had to fly the kids back to the US to visit their grandfather one last time and we made damn sure the flights did not go through the southern hubs.
OTOH my mother acknowledged our son who used to be their granddaughter...so goddamn if that wasn't heartwarming.

I'm really happy that it's working out this way for them. My grandfather never got to meet me as myself.

7 0 ReplyI am so lucky to be in a cyan state. I want to know how I can help my fellow trans folks who are trapped in states that are actively targeting them.
