It's the Underground, not the Metro
11 0 ReplyYou sent me down a wikipedia rabbit hole. Technically it is THE Metro. The precursor to the Underground was the Metropolitan Railway and the Underground still uses a lot of the old stations. All other metros are named after the Metropolitan Railway, which was the first of it's kind.
