I want to do an insight check, is the square lying?
- The square admits that it has been lying and it is, in fact, a tesseract/four-dimensional cube.

I feel this in my bones.
This is also every all-staff meeting my work has ever had.
I roll a 3 on my investigation check. Do I get advantage since I have Darkvision?!
So clearly here they need to roll for initiative because that is clearly a Quadrone.

Seriously though, I find the biggest problem with puzzles is the GM explaining them. If there aren't pictures people are limited by their imagination so you get crazy ideas of what exactly is going on.
