Does it show it cropped in a shorter wider aspect ratio until you interact with something on the screen? That's what Jerboa does for me
- That's how it shows up for me at least. Reduced aspect ratio and the top/bottoms of images are cropped to a standard size. I have been needing to wait a second for the image to fully load it's full format rather than needing to interact with a post though - it just happens automatically when it's in view on the screen.
- Looks like this to me on jerboa 0.0.69 (nice) on android 14.

for me, it's weird. sometimes the long post shows up fine, but other times it's blank until i click on the image itself.
- Might be an internet speed thing? Could just be loading while it's blank.
Meanwhile it took me like 4 full seconds to scroll through the whole thing.

I might be drunk, but "Wrong, it's tea," made me laugh a lot.

I'm definitely drunk and it was pretty funny.

I take Adderall (when I can get it filled, the rest of the time I'm just worthless) and I'm drunk on occasion. It's like the second worst possible speedball. I wake up dehydrated and my mouth tastes like garbage had a wild party in it and threw up.

I experience regret with either, neither and both. it may or may not have smt to do with life choices 😅
- In this particular warning, adderall in your system dramatically increases the way you metabolize alcohol. Two swallows of rum and I am wasted. It feels very, very dangerous (alcohol poisoning-wise.)

- There might be a "fixed height" setting in the display settings.
- Now that I remember sometimes all my images are like that, but most of the time they work properly.

Boost handles it like a pro

Works well in Summit. When you try to just show the image it shows the full height image but you can pinch to zoom in.

And if you actually open the post with comments it's nicely zoomed already to fit width:

In Memmy in iOS, it seems to “fit to screen”—meaning it shows the entire image with large black pillarboxing on either side.

Thunder displays it properly.

Works fine in Voyager after some pinch zooming and a few of these had me cackling out loud. Especially the plethora one 😂

Is Voyager iOS only or also Android? I’m using Voyager with iOS 17.5.1 and I just had to double-tap to expand to screen width.
- Double tapping works on the Android version too
- I'm using it on Android, yeah.

Kbin/Mbin doesn't handle it well and only shows the middle bit. I need to open the original to see the full image.

Mbin (kbin.run) seems to handle it just fine in the chrome browser on desktop.
- I'm on fedia.io which I think is also Mbin. When I tap the image on my phone (android firefox) the image opens in a popover but it only shows the middle part and scrolling works badly. When I tap the title/link then the image opens as a new page and it works fine.
