Anime is mainstream now, so zoomers think it's "new". Thing is, the otaku culture predates the internet. I watched anime since the early 1980s. "Old people" can and do watch anime and read manga. It's not your zoomer sekrit club.

- There is a way to see up votes on Lemmy if you're an instance admin, which isn't a super high hurdle. But point taken. Still a bit funny to see how directly his usage informs the mechanics of Twitter.
